push don'tt suck. heres why i say so:

1:) plastic fins. keep cooler air on them.

2:) pushing does compresses the air raising its temp (doubt anyone here has the instrumentation to measure it) but also adds more air molecules to absorb more heat. if a single air mol can absorb 1 btu, (for argument sake) the more the to absorb more heat. don't forget that mol just left the building like elvis. that will overcome the compression temp rise.
i beg to differ

even though im just pulling Bigbud balls's leg

cuz whereas i have the info stored in my head as to why i do it my way.

Bigbud balls probably has the link on demand and i dont...lol

anywho....Bigbud...look at his reflector, i dont think blowing would help his situation AT ALL

NEVER think horticulture when buying stuff. (pot growers and golfers, they see us coming!)

Vent fans? think HVAC.

Never saw a link to the reflector (just the fan). But let me guess. Its an open air batwing style (the cheap $100 400W system ones, when stuffed into a closet, the poor guy realizes he needed the $400 one plus some ducting and a good fan. <just a dig at the $100 400W HPS system bs, NOT the OP!!>)

i cannot recommend any HTG supply products unless it is a brand name and not something with an HTG sticker on it.

dont get me wrong, im not knocking as i applaud the low prices to help n00bs get started and help our OVERGROW movement

but at the same token....most if not ALL of their equipment is junk.

you get what you pay for.

with that said....go with your second link...the TD series has never failed and if you need further backing and/or help.... you can see the following thread : https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/61475-these-fans-real-deal.html

me and Bigbud also forgot the most important part

the reason why Sunleaves Windtunnel, S & P TD series and Elicient fans are the best, in my humble opinion is the noise to feature work ratio.

the casing the fan comes in makes a big big difference. all the fans i listed above have a plastic polymer type casing.... vibration and all that is almost zero! like the only noise that folks confuse with the fan motor the swooshing of the air

that can be silenced with insulated ducing first, then using duct mufflers.

the way you mount the fan also makes a difference. (rubber everything.... i.e. grommets, straps, etc etc etc.)

I'm not impressed with the dB of the TD-150, though I could have done a MUCH better job mounting it. (also a better choice of room in the house might have helped too ;) )

(I say blow into the light. Others may disagree. But for effectiveness I doubt it matters a hill of beans either way)

meh, i think its relative, Bigbud...

lol...you nik picker!

my sunleaves is a little non impressing with dB, but once that insulated ducting goes on both ends, its a wrap! almost as if the duct tells the air flow "Silence biatch"

my carbon filter is like a k&n car filter, Bigbud, kinda sounds cool sucking through the fan...almost almost like the sucking of a cold air intake, but you know...just another one of those grow gadgets i like....lol

dont i need to have duct before the fan attatched to the vent to bring in air from outside the tent and then have the last duct attatched to the other side blowing it out the tent?
fan duct light duct light duct(although last piece of duct may not be necessary....however i have on mine as the tent's duct sockets)
