My soils pH is 4.76. What can I do?

O'm about 3 weeks into flowering. My plant is struggling. I've got a decent amount of bud so far, but I don't want a sick plant. And it is indeed sick. Check out recent pictures here...

I just took the pH of the water that dripped out of the bottom of the pot. I watered with 2 quarts of pHd 6.5 water. I got about 1/2 cup back out of the bottom. The pH... was 4.76. Highly acidic. What should I do to make it more basic?

The water that comes out after watering is always going to be a lower pH because it is going to be richer in salts. To be sure you want a soil pH tester, if your actual soil is too low, wood ashes added on top of the soil will raise the pH.

Just went and looked at your pictures, ummmmm....... you should probably give her a good flush, like real good, and ease the nutes back on. Flatten that aluminum out because rough edges create hot spots that can burn your plant. You also need about 4 times that lighting if you want anything more than about 6 grams. Good luck dude.

Those pics are from last night. I actually posted a thred about the aluminum. Since yesterday, I have taken the aluminum out and replaced with temperary white towels screwed into the wall. I plant to get white poster board, but wanted to put something up until then.

As for the lighting, I'll get some more before it harvests.

Should I flush now? one hour after I watered? Or should I wait until the next water?

I would give her a good flush and again a few days later. Then you should have a good fresh start :hump:

i would say you should flush out your system and run fresh h2o from a hepa water filtration so the water is around 7.0 and in the mean time make more h2o with a ph balance of 6.0- 5.5 . your mj prefers a ph of slightly acidic. 4.0 ph is toooo acidic!

LIME!

If, and it sounds like, the plants all ready in the soil, use hydrated lime (it works better)

Next round, add in dolomite lime (powdered not granulated) into the soil until the pH is where you want it (I like about 6.5) Give a full dry until water/remix/retest. (measure what it takes so you can bypass 2 weeks of work)
