drip irrigation

hi im a new grower havent got all my stuff yt waiting on slow ass mail service......

anyways going with a 4x4x6.5 grow tent with a 400w mh/hps with some "big bud" and a 6in inline exhaust at like 540cfm

anyways ive noticed that i havent seen to many drip systems for a full grow is a drip system viable to grow form seed to harvest or is there osmething im failing to see with drip that makes it a not so well choice

i have had several promiseing grows off of a custom drip system. (i have pictures of the system under grow journals) and i have never had an problems alot of the local hydroponic store owners tell me its a very sufficent way to grow. so if there is a problem then i cant find it either. happy growing

and just a few things to look out for is over watering so make sure u have a timer and have done research on how long is right to water and making sure that the drippers dont get clogged( easy to happen if you use organic nutrients)

I use drip because it is mindlessly easy and dirt cheap. My first hydro crop (drip) came out with a stunning yield and two foot long colas everywhere. Ive never cleaned my emitters, but I dont use organics.

You can use a 60 gal per hour pump with drip, the hardware needs are very lowball. I just built one for my veg room and all the hardware cost 37$.

Heavy duty 400lb toughtote 17$
five emitters 4.75$
cheap 60 gph pump 10$
hose and T fitting - 5$

I ran a line from an existing airpump to an airstone that I had laying around

It is that simple

I see no difference whatsoever between drip and flood/drain as far as end result is concerned.

this system was built uner 130 dollars mostly because the grow tray was 75 dollars. my system can water 8 plants and has room for about 4 large plants i am goin to run three large in the back and 5 SOG clones in the front very efficent way to drip lol. any questions just ask is this similar to your idea?

I am 6 weeks in to flowering and have been using drip the whole time. I started out at 15min every4 hours and keep adjusting it by watching the plants till we have it running full time. I am running 2 12" air stones in my reservoir so I can run it a little to much with it hurting. Just hooked up a pond pump to 1/2 tubing punched 8 holes and ran tubing to each plant. Only problem I had was with a manifold, it keep plugging up so I removed it and know no trouble. Seems very easy to use. Next will be dwc.
