im all for what you are saying... our kids were/are both breastfed... but at the age of 6?? she could choose a better route of administration... that is the creepy part; she doesnt seem to be doing it from a health/nutrition standpoint, its for "comfort". in other words, when he gets upset, he gets to suck on a tit... when everything is fine he eats pork chops...:shock:

Who's to say how long a child should be breastfed?!

The compounds in breast milk have been conclusively proven to increase immune system response and intelligence(IQ), and who knows what else.

"Let the baby have his bottle", as they say.

I find nothing creepy about it. Perhaps, and no offense, but perhaps... you are slightly perverted.

He is 6 years old....So, that would put him in 1st grade. While all the other kids are eating snack packs for lunch what is he doing? Crying over tit? Yeah, that is creepy....

It isn't the nutritional aspect of it that is inappropriate, it's the psychological implications it could have for the child. He is six! Does anybody remember what it was like to breast feed? I don't, and I'm guessing that is something that I should be grateful for.
Now, on top of that, this stupid video exists for the kid's future classmates to find.

He's school age, he's old enough to eat regular food, he should have teeth by now. I'm sure he's toilet trained and can dress himself, probably even tie his own shoes and write his name too. He should not be breastfeeding.

Sucking for comfort is a piss poor excuse. He should age been stopped by the age of 3 at the latest.

i agreed with you on all of that... but like i said; there are different routes of administration.... the child is NOT FEEDING b/c HE IS HUNGRY... only for comfort... he can drink out of a glass... if her concern was the health benefits, she could always spend $50 on a nice breast pump and i would have no qualms about it..

I think so too. I wonder how much shit he takes on the playground because of this. Parents talk and kids overhear things. I bet he gets made fun of a lot........flash forward 10 years.....Johnny breastfed-too-long just shot up the school, he claims the other kids were making fun of him for breastfeeding still.

I heard this also. i dont know if i believe it though. ...If a kid cant feed him/herself after 3 years old than in my book they are retarded. Not to mention im almost positive this would turn the kid into a pussy or mommas boy in his later years.
