Cats and Bubble Hash Water

If your cat likes to drink out of things other than its bowl, and you happen to make bubble hash, do not leave bucket of green water uncovered allowing the cat to drink her fill...My daughter's cat seemed like she was on morphine, shallow breathing, seriously glassy eyes, and...well...catatonic. She has tried to through up (nothing there) and seems to be getting better, but EXTREMELY stoned. Cat is going to have some serious munchies:mrgreen:

I almost ran to the vet, I thought she was dieing. She was limp when picked up and making strange noises. I checked the litter box and there was a freshy, so I figured it was not a blockage (she eats string, Styrofoam and plants) Then I thought, what the hell is the vet going to do except max out my Visa, and remembered my friend telling me about the time his dog ate a whole brownie which a half was good for his chick. The dog was freaked out and unable to walk.

The cat is slowly coming down:roll:

I think today is her second time drinking the water. Yesterday she was glassy eyed, knocked down a new print of Jerry Garcia and shattered the glass of the frame, and her bowl is empty. This hep cat also actively sniffs the exhaled smoke and sleeps with a grin. Not so much earlier today...she is cool now...I think. HaHa, I just called her and she jumped up with a half meow and made it a couple of steps, wobbled a bit and sat back down.

Are you sure it wasn't Tonic water the cat got into... you know CATATONIC... sorry I love my cats too. Try this some time, tell your significant other that you think the cat is hurt, all it says is " ME-OW, ME-OW". Mao say tongue!!!

...My daughter's cat

:leaf::peace::leaf:
please, practice on the cat, before you think about raising kids!
Too late:wall:

Yes I should have removed the bucket of bud water, but I cannot keep this cat from killing herself. She has already electrocuted herself after chewing on wires (still chews anything string like, and eats styrofoam) She has been sat on by my very stoned bro...He thought she was a water bottle and did not readily get up, only when he went to move the bottle and it was furry...he grabbed her and her tongue was hanging out as she gasped for breath. Stopped cleaning herself and did not eat for 3 days...and she still jumps into chairs right before people sit down.

The kid is pretty good though, but thanks just the same, good advice, albeit 14 years late:-o

She seemed miraculously recovered last night about 5 hours after finding her limp. She ate a bunch last night and this morning but threw it up today and is a little dopey. So she is still being watched. I got her for my daughter a few months after we lost our Marley Dog of 14 years (1.5ya) So I am a dog guy, but this cat is cool...for a cat. Just not real bright. She is an American bobtail with a 4" tail from the shelter (far from free).

LOL,

I love these stories. I'm not trying to jack this thread but I have to tell my story. Once when I was still buying weed (3 years ago) I moved to another city 2 hours from my home town. I bought a quarter and was smoking, left it on the bottom of the end table. My fiance (who has never smoked anything) and I had aquired a chihuahua who at this time was a year old. I had been training Chi Chi to find pot (like a little drug dog, lol), but gave up as it was just something to entertain myself with, no real plans of a drug dog hahaha. (That would be a sight, a 6" tall drug dog).

Anyway I came home from work the next afternoon and found a tore-up zip-lock bag on the table. I asked my girlfriend "Did she eat my pot?!?!" "Yeah she tore it up, this was on the floor when I came home. You shouldn't leave it lying around" (there were like two little stick buds next to the bag.) "Is she high" I asked, "I don't think so."

Up stumbles Chi-Chi to my feet oddly wagging her tail, "Bob (name changed obviously), she's not high, shes plastered!" "WHAT?!?!"

From there I had to explain to my girlfriend that she can't die. She wanted to go to the vet, I told her there would be nothing they can do.

"So what do we do?" she asked. "Well I know if I excersize high I loose my buzz fast, lets go run her."

This was a priceless sight, the dog was excited, trying its hardest to run fast, but really it just looked like a fat kid pretending to run at football practice. I guess she had to pee because she suddenly tryed to squat, fell over onto her back and continued peeing all over herself. Bob picked her up and carried her in, her head hanging and dangling backwards like a chicken with a broke neck. Once we took her in and cleaned her up she slept for 3 hours without moving. Needless to say, to this day she doesn't get close to my pot.

Thanks for the stories. Chi Chi's reaction sounds very similar to Artemis' (the cat). The only thing is, the side effects have lasted 4 days. After initially eating the day after being limp, she through up and has been having what I can only deduce as seizures; not convulsing seizures but spaced out, labored breathing and "tics" like licking at the air and chasing things that are not there (they see flashes of light evidently). This would happen many times a day with somewhat normal behavior in between. She was staying low to the ground (not typical for her), not eating, and hiding and sleeping in strange places. Twice we have spent 20 minutes searching for her, where she usually comes when called. She even turned her nose up at Fancy Feast Tuna (McDonalds for cats).

Two days ago she peed in the litter box (good sign) and yesterday she was in the window when I came home and a turd in the box! Still acted strange, and today she is about 80%. Eating (begging for my food) and traveling vertically (not flying, climbing)

I thought it was 50/50 on losing her, and my daughter was quite upset. I thought very hard about the vet, but I know they only save animals with larger lines of credit than I have. They run several hundred dollars worth of tests and then try to reach your cash threshold with putting them to sleep.

I almost sold my stash:roll: Sooooo glad I did not lose my cool.

I knew last night she was getting much better when she was trying to take advantage of my sympathy as she climbed into the flower box to graze. I shooed her away for her's and my girls sake, she left though very reluctantly.

Thats one strange kitty - I've got a simular one for you. Our little terrier mix got into my vodka cran a while back. I just set it on the coffee table & got up looking for the remote or something. When I looked back she was sheepishly wagging her tail looking at me over my empty glass, and in 15 minutes she was hammered & passed out. Now I love that little dog dearly so I woke her & took her outside where thankfully she puked most of it up & pee'd. Once back inside she passed out again for hours, I could pick her up & except for shallow breathing she appeared dead. Thank God she recovered & now I am very careful what I put within her reach.

Glad your pup is ok. I think these breeds originate from northern Europe...they were bred by drunks!

To the kid who was once juicyjayz, got banned and came back as ganjasmokah, got banned again, and has now created another account...and gave me rep with "you rat bitch"...I tried to warn you that taking pics with your freshman biology book that is brand new was not a good idea. I was trying to tell you to be careful if you are going to be doing this (in your parents house and in florida where they lynch people for growing). Personally I would have deleted those pics and taken the nice advice from the cool old stoner dude. But you did not and somehow FDD banned you (I was not responsible for this). Then you changed your name and continued in both of your threads as if you never left asking the same questions that you did not like the answers you got over and over. This (creating a new account after being banned for being under age) is blatantly breaking the rules and you are not even close to 18.

So yes I reported you after you reappeared without even trying to stay low. As a parent I am not sorry. I hope your parents do not lose their home to fund the war against our beloved cannabis. Again be careful dude. By nature teenagers are not. If you still want to grow, and of course I understand, lurk and listen. All of your questions have been answered on others threads. Use google if the search does not work and include RIU.

It is easy for adults to act like minors on-line (of course unfortunately) but it is not so easy for a teen to come across as an adult. The lesson here, once learned while smoking with the older kids, is when in doubt to keep your mouth shut lest you open it and stick your foot in.
