Hello, I have a 250 watt mh light, and plan on getting an exhaust fan, in a wardrobe closet lined with reflective material. I also have a 1000 watt hps for later flowering.

I have just read how dangerous thee light are. I want to know how safe this is, and whether or not i should change my setup. I have a GFI general eletric breaker box but i have heard that these bulbs blow up...often. My set up is in a barn, perfect for a fire. What can i do to prevent this....thanks

if you only run the 1000w and the exhaust fan you should be fine. Its all about amps. See what your box is rated for and how much your light plus fan will be. I highly doubt that the light and fan will be more than half of the load.

Three lights a 250, a 1000 and...?

Also bulbs dont usually blow up, unless they are heated and exposed to a cold source, and under other strange circumstances.

If you have your bulb in a enclosed reflector with exhaust, even if it explodes the hot material will not be able to leave the enclosed reflector case. Lamp
