Hello,
It's been a while since ive had a grow going so im a bit rusty and need advice.
I have a grow tent 1mx1m and 1.8m high with a 600w HPS, 5" fan and carbon filter. Plants are about 4 days old. Had some temp problems but have managed to get it down to roughly 32 C, cool tube reflector is on the way so that should sort out the last few degrees.
My problem is my humidity, its really dry in the grow room. Currently sitting at 7%. I have 4 seperate dishes filled with water in the grow room in an attempt to raise the humidity but its not working.
Im growing an autoflowering strain so the plants will continue their 18/6 cycle. During the dark periods the carbon filter/fan is not on (primarily for noise but i am awaitning a silencer) and at these times i have noticed that the humidity rises to around 35%. I dont have experience using carbon filters and fans as heat/smell not been an issue for me in the past. If the carbon filter/fan is causing the reduction in humidity is it safe for me to say that i need to get a humidifier? Its my understanding that as the plants grow more moisture will gather in the atmosphere but that doesnt really help me just now. Can anyone give me some help or advice?
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Cheers guys![Smile :) :)](/styles/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
