well here we go... a plant that is a flowering female be 20 years old... NO... that was a total myth... lie , bullshit lol...

now a mother plant being 20 years old yes...
but...
you can keep a mother plant forever , the only thing after 20 years lol your looking at one huge ass pot/container... you can take cuttings and keep a mother plant forever the only thing with this is the roots will still grow and will eventually become root bound ever x many days / months and will have to be transplanted...

there is no mj that ever was/ever will be 500$ a gram

edit... well I should take that back.. you can have a flowering female be 20 years old.. she would of had to of been a mother plant for 19 years and 9-10 months then flowered out lol ... so ya you can have a 20 year old plant that buds.. but as far as potency and price... haha 500 a gram come on...

I'm not saying your wrong but why couldn't a flowering female be 20 years old ? I've been experimenting for the past year with rejuvenation. I had over 100 plants that I was able to harvest atleast twice. Due to neglect, equipment failure alot of them either died or hermied. Right now I'm down to 2 plants that are 13 months old. Both have been harvested 3 times. I plan to keep them for as long as they keep producing. Will they last 20 years ? I don't know. But I don't see any reason why they won't.

you can veg a marijuana plant forever in theory.. but once you flower it..12 weeks(long flowering sativas) is about as long as it going to last, after a point your thc starts fallin off .. you can always reveg after harvest, but in MY personal experiences with revegging, I have ALWAYS goten a smaller less potent yield with each reveg..

my cut of MTF is over 25 years old....
as long as the mom is kept in veg (revegging risks retarding the plant by making it change hormonal signals against its natural tendencies) there is no beef.
revegging is lame....

yes a plant can be kept for a number of years and flowered multiple times. how the stress from the constant hormone changes effect the plant I do not know. the above post stating that each generation is not as good as the previous makes alot of sense to me..

i found that revegging works well only if you dont cut your clones before flowering.... i know what your all thinking but it was an accident lmao i revegged my clones and they worked really well.

One of my good friends has been growing the same mother plant for 15 years without a worry, it's a mammoth in a heated greenhouse, Funnily enough i was the one who gave him the batch of seeds that his mom came from he fell in love with a pure sativa pheno and hasn't left it's side since :D

when i was a teen my cousin took me to a guys house to show me his "plant". we got there and walked around the side of the house and stopped next to a tree by the window. so im looking around for the bush and my cuz says "how you like it?" and i say "where the hell is it?" and he says "right there!" and i say "right where?". so after a couple secs of looking around the yard puzzled he says..."your standing under it!" now at the time i was a noob smoker and had seen a few plants but this was a beast. at least(min) 20ft tall with a trunk as large around as a basketball. my guess is that it was prob some dirt weed but the image of that tree will forever be burned into my mind. dude who lived there did ALWAYS sell some really good bud.....

KillerRedd thats sound like quite the plant, but the size of a basketball?
I've seen quite a few busty sativa's hit 15-17ft tall, but even still at that height the "trunks" were only about 10" in diameter.
Even still Bosson26 that isn't anyway to go about asking for things the only that's going to get you is a lot of negative feedback.

Seeing is believing. Where´s the pic??
i was 16 at the time, im 40 now, so sorry no pic. but it was a 2 story house and the top was higher than the gutters. as for b-ball reference....it was just a reference. all i know is if i was to of cut it down, i would have brought my chainsaw and yelled "timber" when it came crashing down.

I got some really excellent seeds off a regen girl that I had brought to harvest and then turned around and vegged it for a couple of months before flowering again. When it flowered the second time is when I got it pregnant. The advantages of this method is you know the entire history of the mother before you pollinate it. The disadvantages is that the regen after you harvest your bud, takes weeks to recover. It literally looks like it is going to die for a few weeks. After this, it bushes up real nice. The seeds were a little on the small side, but the resulting white widow seeds were consistently excellent, very similar to the mother, with a 66% female ratio average.
