yea thats what i was talking about thanks for clearing that up i didnt explain my self and yea like he said avoid the sativas cuz they will stretch in floweringsaposto hahahahhaha!!!!
I think you're talking about lollypopping, or pruning to promote single cola growth. But i'm really not sure if thats what you mean.
Anyhow, theres couple things you can do to promote this.
Grow from clone, this gives you the advantage of growing 12\12 right off the bat, meaning lower more single cola'd plants. Also at weeks 1 and 3 of flower trim the lower third as jdmlove said.
and avoid sativas as they tend to grow taller and branch more, although some would argue they are the best bud.
Actually what you are refering to bro, is LST or training. Not SOG growing or lollipopping the plant. He is talking about a single stalk covered in buds creating a single cola.I have done this, and tying down the main cola is a good way to get bud in the middle of the stock!!! Unless someone know a better method than tieing down early in flowering, this is the best way, take my advice bro!!!
Actually nothing i posted was rude.I know what its called man, and I dont think this guy even knows what lollipopping is, and I think he wants to grow a regular plant not topped or any thing of that sort, so I think tieing down the main stalk before flowering is his best bet BRO!!! Next time dont be rude man, Im just offering my opinion, if you dont like it dont talk shit or try and indirectly insult my intelligence just post your own opinion!!!
Pardon me i hate to shit on whats already a pretty angry thread, but thats terrible advice. I would never top a plant any later than a week before flowering, and even that is pretty late. Topping during flowering will hurt overall yield, kinda defeating the purpose.Top allot during flowering ....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Thats the same shit I said!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't take any advice that man ever gives!saposto hahahahhaha!!!!
get buds up the main stem " it gets lots of buds all over the plant.
To get a single cola plant = the most important thing is the strain you want somthing that does not branch a lot and has tight internodes as possable althogh any plant can grow a single cola some do it better than others usally indica or some indica x sativa again even sativa plants can grow masive top colas just look at SSH (super silver haze).
then its down to the way you grow the plants the more light you give them the tighter and fatter the cola will become you can increse the size of the main cola even more by trimming the side branches off the bottom of the plant you do this up untill the final streach is over or when the side branches look like they going to stay close to the main stem. what the trimming of the lower branches does is (leve the branches grow a bit just dont cut them off as soon as you see them start to grow) once you cut the branches the roots will be able to feed or put all its energy in to making the top cola massive because it does not need to feed any lower branches anymore because you have cut them off. when you cut the top or bend a plant over the growth goes somewhere else making the plant bush out but when you cut off the bottom branches that growth goes only to the top of the plant or main cola. keeping plants close together also helps thats another reson SOG works so well plant close together want to reach for the light and grow up and not branch so much as long as you have good strong light you can get main cola's over 2 feet long.
