here we go again, this is my new closet, it's roughly 2' x 4' x 52 inches. the light is completely sealed and exhausted. i have a a/c window unit setup for the texas heat this summer.

the plants i have in this box are 4 papayas and 4 kushes. the papaya have been vegging with cfl's and natural sunlight since the first of feb. until last week when they got moved into here.they are all about a foot tall now. the soil they are in is miracle grow with nutes. the kushes are a week or better old. maybe 2 or 3 inches tall. i'll be putting them into a 12/12 light cycle this coming friday.

all comments and questions are welcomed

using a 400 watt hps, no nutes yet, still getting plenty of nutes from the soil. but when they need it i have fox farms tiger bloom and big bloom. i have been giving them water phed to 6.5 with 2 drops of superthrive to a gallon of water.

Have you thought about getting any grow big for veg? You would probably good with the nutes in the soil if you plan on flowering pretty early. My grow box dimensions are kinda similar to yours. Mine is 3' wide 2' deep and 4.5' tall. I use a 250 watt but I guess with the AC you can use a 400 watt. Your plants are going to love it haha. Keep up the good work and don't forget to update with plenty of pics ;-)

hey tom, thanks for the comments. i have some grow big, but using the miracle grow soil with nutes, you don't need to add anything for the first month or so.

hey sirus, i would definitely recommend papaya. this is my second grow with papaya, not my last either.
this weather has my closet temp down to 57 degrees, the plants look nice and healthy, they don't look cold.

I think plants do much better in colder weather then they do in hot weather. It's always a good thing if your biggest concern is keeping them warm haha. I have always been interested in papaya. It's one of the seeds I would get if I ever got the courage and money to order :weed:

Sweet lil setup you got here man, I'm diggin it. Plants look nice as well. I also had a friend in TX who grew some papaya, he said his took a long time to germ too. But shit's lookin good, so keep it up buddy. How many watts that a/c runnin? I wanna put one in the wall of my grow room for the hot CA summers. I built a 6.5x6.5x7 room this winter in my garage, and know I'm gonna need some a/c real soon. But keep us posted wit pics my man. Happy growing and I'll be in touch. Peace.

hey jigfresh, welcome aboard, and my yankee brother douche. i love this new setup, and so do the girls. so far 2 of the 4 blue mystic seeds have tapped and been put in dirt. these blues take awhile to germinate like the papayas. the temps have been in the low sixties and the humidity in the fortys or better. the 4 papaya and the 4 kush will start their 12/12 light cycle starting monday morning. the lights will be running at nights for temp reasons. i'll get some pics up later

hey zeke, it was the cheapest a/c home depot had. it wasn't big enough to cool my bedroom but i bet it handles this grow closet. what part of ca.? my son lives out there. i'll be out there this fall sometime

looking at the forecast, it is time to get these girls in the 12/12 light cycle. as soon as it warms up to 60 degrees tommorow the lights will go off for the first time for these plants. i need to get out there and give the place a good cleaning and put my tools away.
