Hi, gonna be doing some minor renovations in my grow room. it is a walkin closet. i have had some heat issues and i must install some ventilation. i have 3 choices. which do you think would be best for the money.

1, 2. bathroom style exhaust fan, from local home and garden. 70 cfm. and a smaller version thats 50 cfm. 25 and 12$ respectively

or

3,4. inline style duct fan from htgsupply. there is one 4 inch 80 cfm, and one 6 inch 250 cfm. and 35 and 40$ respectively after shipping.

my room is 6x6x8 288 sq ft. any help is greatly appreciated.

I would go with the in line type fans. Much more effiecient at moving air. I would also say go bigger. You could even go with a 500 cfm in line fan, and add a speed controller for complete control. Figure with the bigger fan you can always run it slower, but if you go to small, you may be screwed during the summer months. I picked up a nice quite 500 cfm for $90 shipped, and the speed controlers for less than $20.

Are there any issues with noise? What are you doing for order control? 6x6x8 is a good size closet If noise is not an issue, the go with the 6" 250

noise isnt too much of an issue, i live alone and the closet is in my bedroom at the back of the house. for odor im gonna stick a carbon filter at the end of the duct which will be exhausting out of my peek of my roof. im hoping the negitive pressure in the room will keep the odor moving away from the rest of the house and straight outside. plus i will be keeping my bedroom door closed all the time. if i still have odor issues in the rest of the house ill divise something to keep it under control.

anyone know if i can score the filter itself? i dont want a big unit thing with a fan and all. im lookin for just the sheet filter thing, to put at the end of the duct, try to knock some of the smell out to keep noses outside unawares.

im fairly sure ill be using the 6inch for this. any more advice would be appreciated especially on the filter thing
