Just keep them out so they can dry, I would just go straight to jar after the stems dry.

If you jar them before that, they are too wet and your bud will grow mold if its closed in the jar.

Yeah I still have them hanging. They still have that grass smell. Its odd when I cut the buds fresh they smelled like mangos but since hanging and drying them the bud smells like grass.

The reason why you wait for the stems to snap is because that lets you know that they are dry enough to be kept in a jar without growing mold.

If you jar them too early and they are still too wet you are going to get mold all over your bud.

Curing is all about preference, its ready when you feel like it is.

Yea, the wetter your bud is the more it is at risk of mold, and the longer it will take to cure, because none of the moisture is escaping.

Yea, either way is good, obviously, if you waited untill they bended, you wouldn't put the bud in there if there were that wet, people do shit different, but curing should be at least 2 weeks, its a long wait, but its well worth it

So I placed the first batch of buds in a jar today after letting them hang for almost 2 weeks. They dont smell to great so hoping the jar brings the smell back. I waited to make sure the branch can snap.

Here is a update on the lowryder, the seed sprout happened on Jan 10th, today is exactly two months. The plants is starting to get red hairs. Should I stop giving it nutes or should I increase the dose of nutes? Here are some pics...let me know what you think. Thanks.

I'd leave the dosage as-is if its making pretty buds like that.

Thanks Lurkmaster, I look at the buds for long periods of time...lol. Since the look good I wanted to make them larger and denser buds. So you advise not to increase the dosage.

More light would give you some bigger, denser buds, not a higher concentration of nutes, would really suck if you nute burned your plants this late into flowering.

I probably logged an hour or so of plant gaze time every day when my plants were growing, lol

I have been asking alot for everyones opinion. However after reading and reading I see alot of people saying stay off the nutes in the last two weeks before harvest. Since I do not have a 10X scope, I cannot see if the trichromes are ready. The top buds are starting to get more and more red hairs, however the ower buds still have white hairs. My question is can you tell to see about how much longer til harvest? Should I lay off the nutes? I would hate nice buds like these tastes crappy due to nutes. Any feedback is appreciated.

Note: By the way I got the plant looking nice and green by making my own nute mix. I added Tiger bloom, Big Bloom, and a lil bit of Grow Big. I added Grow Big since it had alot more nitrogen.

80% red hairs is a different method than checking trichs.

When you are around 70%ish I'd stop nutes.


If its lowryder its 9 weeks from seed that you should harvest, regardless of photoperiod

yea i would go more then 9 weeks, what week of flowering are you on anyway? they look almost done, no more then a week in a half or so

Tomorrow will be 9 weeks. Is it ok only to trim the top buds and let the lower buds grow out. The lower buds do not not fully developed yet. Also since its close to the end should I stop using nutes?

Are you saying cut off all the leaves and only leave the buds on the plant for a week. Then cut it down? Or keep it as is and cut it down in a week regardleess if the smaller buds have developed? Please advise.
