hey everyone, just ordered up some feminized seeds the other day, should be coming in relativly soon...got all my lights and everything that i should need. Im having a hard time getting a straight answer on exactly what would be the best soil to grow em... if you could help itd be greatlly appreciated

I hear Fox Farm Ocean Forest is the best , I havn't heard of any place you can get it localy but im just a noob. Hope it helps anyways

5 parts Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss or Coir
3 parts (medium grade) Perlite
2 parts Worm Castings or Mushroom Compost or home made compost
2 tablespoons per gallon (3.78L) Pulverized Dolomite Lime

yeah less of a pain to water the fuckers
but its really hard to overwater in coco
i got drip set up in buckets and just a little a day
then once a week check em with a meter
i wont be changing
but ive never used fox farms before and every one raves about them

hi every1 this is my 1st post on here but i have used john bowlers for years now and its results are amazing.. big yeilds ect .. the one i use is john bowlers all in 1 gold with added nutriants so newbi growers dnt have to worry to much bout nutes for a while .. this product is retaild in the uk for about £2.99 and is exellent so use it if ur a newbi .. anyway i hope this helps but really its own choice mainly because its your smoke lol goodluck wid it anyway post sum piks if you have some of crop
nice nice, im definitly gettin some good ideas from you all, the seeds wont b here for about a week so i dont wana rush into buying the soil,i was told NOT to use potting soil b/c of chemicals etc... and to make sure it was soil for vegetables etc....

Ask any framer if soilis over rated. with that said I agree that there are many soil mixes that will work for mj. this is the one I use. http://www.wormsway.com/detail.asp?sku=BGCB920
i can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not...
i would think that a farmer would consider the way WE act over soil, and will say " yes, its over rated"... and my family did have a farm... never heard them discuss soil... they just worked with what they got and knew what to do with it...

I'll agree to a point. MJ Will grow in just about any soil, but how well it grows is another mater. The closer the soil is to the plants native soil the beter it will grow.
as for the family farm. If they were growing much of anything they used nutes of some kind. farm critters produce nutes but thats a hard way way to feed your crops.
