Ok, so i have been growing since early January. I just put the 3 plants into 13/11 light cycle about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Leaves are sprouting out where the buds would grow but no bud development. I used stealth bloom nutrients for 2 1/2 weeks then i started to see some nutrient burn so i emptied the tub out and put in just water and the plants got healthy again. Anyone know why this is happening, i mean there isnt even pistils yet. The one plant is about 4ft tall. the other two are about 3 - 3 1/2ft. Nice and bushy about 80% chance they're females. Should i put the nutrients back in soon or what cuz im starting to get frustrated:cuss:

Are you sure they are females? If so, give them a little more time
im pretty positive man the spacing between branches is very close. ill post some pics. Im pretty sure they are females because i def dont see any balls or anything that would show male. Plus if they were males they would have definetely showed sex and produced pollen sacks by now. Anyway pictures were taken with my phone ill update them with a micro shot from a camera a little later when i have time

If they are seed plants, they have to be ready to flower before you switch to 12/12. The most obvious sign is alternating nodes instead of opposite nodes. So when the leaves start to form the shoots one at a time (not in pairs opposite each other) the plant is ready to flower. That is why seed plants take longer to get a harvest because the plant actually has to be ready to flower, a clone can be flowered right away. Also hazes and heavy sativas can take a long time to start flowering. My sexually mature haze cross I have going now did not show a single pistal until the 4th week of 12/12. It may be slow but I bet is gonna be real good smoke. Hope this helps!

OK I looked at your pics and it does look like your plants are not mature enough yet. Seed plants have to veg for more than a month before they show alternating nodes. If a plant is not ready to flower you cannot force it, it still wants to veg!!

man they were in veg stage for almost two months, and i had to put it in flowering because the one plant is about 8 inches away from touching my ceiling right now and if i would have waited longer (marijuana has a growth spurt when put into flowering cycle) i would have had to top it. They are definetely ready for flowering

Strange you say that, my Arjans ultra haze #1 exlpoded in the first week of flowering, but strange and mysterious is this plant we call marijuana.

Sticky, as soon as i read the name of this thread my inner monologue went "LIGHT LEAKS!!!"
Any light leaks? even a tiny pinhole can throw a serious wrench into flowering.
As for the "not mature enough to start flowering" stuff, that may be true for some strains, but none that i've grown.
heck look at these, ignoring the big pots to the right.

The two on the left were put under 12\12 as soon as they got their first set of real leaves. I don't know if you can see or not, but they both have full heads of hair. One is an indica dom (sprucezeus' house strain) and the other a sativa (arjans ultra haze.)
Anyhow, good luck and happy growing.

yes i can see that, but as far as light leak that may be a possibility because i have my lights off during the day and on at night simply for the reason if my parents were to go downstairs and check on them during the day they wouldnt be able to tell what kind of plant it is (catch my drift?) but they both saw the plants and they are clueless but idk how to reverse my light and dark periods without stressing the plant out, but other than that my basement is pretty dark, i have a curtain over the window and i have 2 curtains covering up the plants and the small window str8 across is kind of blocked by stacked up boxes.

lol wait until they smell. your parents will know exactly what they are...
lmao they have smelt like skunk for 3 weeks trust me they dont know and they wont find out cuz i have fabric softeners clipped to the back of a 17" fan and all the air that passes through the fan goes through the fabric softeners, it covers up the smell for 3 days.

night must be longer than day in order for mj to flower.i dont know where you came up with that light schedule but if you want them to flower you need to put them on a 12/12 schedule or even a 11/13 schedule not 13/11

I would say that your problem is a mix of lighting and timing. You really shouldn't be on a 13/11 for flowering. Just curious, why would you set it for that time?

Your other problem is the light, for sure. Blankets are not going to block out light efficiently. Whether it's windows or your plants, light is leaking through for sure. You should try to switch the light cycles around so the lights are on during the day.

If you're worried about your parents, you really shouldn't be growing in their home. Put the plants somewhere in the bush where you won't have these stresses.

Good Luck.

well i would but i was reading on alot of forums to use 14/10 or 13/11 for more yield. I guess go putt them on 12/12 right now and as for light leakage problem i fixed that by putting a mattress over the window so everything should be fine. Thanks for the help guys ill update in a few days to let you know if it worked

np man, the stuff you read was bad info. Dont believe anything other than 12/12 for flower.

Veg can be 24 hours, 18 hours, or 16 hours on
