Need help

My plant is turning yellowish/brwonish at the tips of almost every tip.


i couldnt find an answer.
what is this?

a week old, u r most likely looking at nute burn, not likely to get a deficiency at this stage. general rule of thumb-no nutes for 3 weeks

well i thought it was heat too but i took it 4 inches away and its not a hot bulb.

oh maybe in the soil

not sure what a nute is.

i heard different ways of it being used.

i first thought it was those white things.

then some one said you add nutes.
but my soil came with it.

Nute stands for nutrient, you want to stay away from prefertilized soils and stick with 'organic' soil. Then after 3 weeks start adding ferts every 2 or 3 waterings. you can try flushing them and seeing if it helps. Good luck.

no, the white things are styrofoam to disperse the water... it's the little round tanish balls that are in your soil that have nutes that naturally break from soil densening

now the other plant i just noticed has some really droopy leaves.

what is that.

with those wood chips in the soil, I would venture your runoff if acidic. need to keep ur ph in range of 6.4-7.

Im looking all over for a digital ph tester but cant find one at any store. buying online isnt an option. got any ideas?

do u have a local hydro store? if they dont carry one, like the Hanna for $30.00, they should be able to order it for you. Ebay has a tone of them

NEUTS are neutrients,(elements that a plant need to be healthy) most soil contains a starter of neuts that lasts the plants the first 3-4 weeks of its life, having tips go brown is to me uncommon in the first week, i dont think it would be ur light if its cfl, u can basically touch the plant with the bulb and it wont burn.

maybe ur soil has high concentrated neutrient mix in it and the plant cant handle it as its so young, i realy dont know wot to advise u other than to check wot soil ur using and be sure not to overwater, at that age u should be watering very sparingly and waiting for the spoils top inch to dry b4 watering again, u could even try cutting down ur watering frequency and foliar feed, that way u wont be giving the plant to much neuts!! hope this is of some help.
