yes it is safe, but debated quite a bit on this site as to whether it is more beneficial vs harmful to production.

try moving the fan leaves under or around the budding sites. i don't know if you could do it to all the fan leaves, but its better than cutting or pruning the leaf.
that is what i do.:blsmoke:

yeah..something about it needing the sugars from the fan leaves...i've seen people cut like half a leaf before..i guess that would kinda make since....it would still get some of the sugars from the leaves

Dude you can definately trim off as many fan leaves as you want, especially the ones getting in the way....check out my grow, i have trimmed mine 4 times and each time has been a pile of leaves....for example...

and this is how my plants are looking right now

I am a definate believer that trimming leaves away has little to no effect on the plants as you can see....i will prob be trimming them again here in a couple days bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

Fan leaves are not heavy enough to hold back bud production, the growing buds will just push them as they get larger and buds to not require direct intense light to grow because they grow due to the energy taken in by the fan leaves so what is there to gain by cutting fan leaves and what problem is there created by leaving them?

Sweet retro ambiance, man. It makes better weed, I think. And I'm pretty dazed, seeing your field of green and then scrolling down to reveal not 10 plants all bunched together, but just two, sticking out of an, under-bed storage container. Over a pound from each? Krezzy, I tell you. Just krezzy. ;-)
