C.A.P master light controller 8a.. NEED ELECTRICAL HELP BAD...PLEASE

Hello.. I just bought a cap master light controller.. It says it controls up to 8 1000.. I have 3 .. I hooked it up with 8/3 romex according to the instructions also to a 2 pole 40 amp breaker.. Everthing is hooked up right and the thing turns on.. But when i plug in the lights they didnt come on and the breaker kept popping.. And im pretty sure it fried one of the ballast..


So already im out 250 for the controller 120 for the romex and breaker and now a 250 ballast.. What is the problem >>>

are your ballest 120 or 240? if they ar 120 that sounds like you have a 240 cap controller

they are 120 and i guess that is the issue.. i looked in the ballast and it has a 240 wire. but i guess its hooked up 120 .. can i swith them to 240?? the plugs on the light controller are regular house plugs
