Hey wats up this is my first grow and i decided, what the heck! i might as well have a grow journal! Ill upload pics when i can, but the strain is the hybrid Sensi Star(as said in the title) and im not gunna go guerilla growing or anything, just one plant at a time. Right now i'm in the process of germinating. I'm going to start the plant inside then move it out once the weather warms up in a couple weeks. The set-up is next to a radiator under some cfl's and a UVB light.
Any input is very welcome, I can't wait to hit this thing off!:weed:

i just tried the first bud off my sensi star and man is it some awesome smoke, even at 2-3 weeks till finish, you wont be dissappointed

I still havent seen any tap roots after about 20 hours. If there is no indication of any root comin by tonight ima put in a new batch of seeds. The seeds have been in the freezer for almost a month. i soaked them in warm spring water for an hour before germing, then put in a towel(pointed side down) and put the towl in a cup over a heating pad. Nothing has shown yet, any tips?

i soaked mine overnight in water, then put them in paper towels next to a small heater and taproot showed a little less than 24 hours later

can you tell if the seeds have cracked?

One of the seeds was yellow, and it turned out to be all dried up on the inside. But what do you mean cracked? There is only one other seed for this batch and i took off some of the outer shell, but other than that it looks the same as it did in the freezer.

a fresh seed is one that is dark and cannot be easily cracked by squezzing it with you fingers,
Green and lighter seeds more than likely will not germ, as goes with seeds that are too dark

Oh when you said cracked you meant cracked..haha my bad.No this one was dark brown before i scraped off that layer of shell, and i still cant do damage it when i squeeze it. I soaked it for an hour, then put it in the towel and put it in a warm place. after 20 hours, it still hadnt changed, so i soaked it for another couple hours(it started floating then i took it out when it reached the bottom) and then put it back into the towel. That was about 8 hours ago, and it still hasnt vchanged in the towel. I mean, what the heck is wrong with this seed! It is the right color, i stored it correctly, and it should have shwon some signs of germination, but absolutely nothing has happened. Which side should i see the taproot come out of, the pointed side or the side with the fat hole.

pointed side
when i meant cracked i meant cracked so that you can see white and the taproot i almost coming out
give it some time, stop looking at it,the less light hits it the better you are

ok well i wont look at it again until i wake up tomorrow, thats about 10 hours. I tried germinating the same way with apple seeds ( using apple trees to hide my grow) and it worked much better. Am i just being impatient because the cannabis seed is so much harder than the apple seed and will obviously take longer, or could this seed be dead.

it could be dead if it hasnt opened up at all by tomorow night then ditch it

The hole on the fat side is opened, if that is what you mean. They were some bagseed from an ounce. Idk how they couldve died, because they look perfectly healthy. If this one doesnt show by tomorrow morning, i will try to use the other two. For those ill use sandpaper to scratch the shell, then soak them in warm water for 24 hours, then towel them and see how it goes. I just dont want to have to go through ordering more seeds online right now.

what i do is,

Soak In warm water until all seeds have dropped to the bottom
instead of folding a wet paper towel over it , i flatten the peper towel along the bottom of a cup and drop the seed on top,
store in dark place,

doing this leaves seed untouched because whenever you have to look at it you dont have to mess with anything

good point. I put it in the folds of a towel and place it in the cup so that the pointed side is down. This way gravity can also help point the seed in the right direction. right now that isnt working though. haha

Ah success! I checked the taproot today and it finally broke through the shell. Looks like i wasnt applying enough heat or moisture. Ill put it in its soil probably tomorrow when the taproot grows a bit more.
