Would it be better if i mix the bulbs? using different cfls?????????

Ok so i have one plant it is 16inch tall and now am flowering for 2 days my space was small so i got lowryders,

Anyways i have 2 ysplitters , one splitter is holding 2 1600 lumens daylight cfls and the other 2 1600 lumens soft white cfl, i also have 2 sepreat lamps on the side holding one 1600 lumen soft white each so all together my lumens are 9,600

MY question is should i remove the daylight cfls and just replace them with soft white ? or is it better how i have it because ive read that its better to have a blue and red spectrum but also hear that soft white is best for flowering since it has a 2700 spectrum

i believe you mean warm white?
warm white is 2700k
and yes it is better for flowering and i would go with just them for flowering

The lower on the K scale the better for flowering. This light spectrum is red/orangish coloring and reperesents the afternoon light(why afternoon light is better for flowering outdoors). The cool lights are higher on the K scale and will promote growth during the vegetative stage.

how is the suns color spectrum different in the afternoon compared to morning?

lower on the scale in the after noon, higher in the morning. Thats one benefit of outside growing, you get all the spectrums every day.

Im pretty sure it changes as the day goes on. Maybe you're thinking of the amount of lumens the sun gives off which can vary depending on whre u live

no i am talking about the suns spectrum in kelvins which i believe to be 5500k
i dont see how this could change during the day

as the earth turns different spectrums are dominant im assuming. i mean why else is the color of light so different? ill look it up on the lights sticky.

ok i have looked into it more
we are both right
the suns main color tempurature is 5500k
when the sun passes over the earth it refracts of the atmosphere creating different color temps,
for example if it is over cast it will be more of a 6500k ect.
