Anyway, I am currently crowing in a 4x4 hut with 12 Ebb and Flow buckets. I have the strain purple cush right now but I want something different. I want a high yielder with superior quality. I know you can have both but at least a GREAT quality. Looking at these seed banks gives me more of a headache than anything. There are so many strains out there its mind boggling. I would like to try different strains for the simple fact that I am played out on this purp and so are my friends. I will carry a mother plant and take clipping from her so I really only need to have 1 guarunteed female. Anyway, can anyone recommend a strain? I would like a 8-9 week strain. Thanks again guys!

White Russian...Serious Seeds. Stop what you are doing right now and go to Attitude Seed bank and order some White Russian. You can thank me later. Great genetics...great high...Great bag appeal...Great yields...A one hit wonder. It fits what you are asking for to a T.
If that doesn't interest you go look up Paradise seeds Nebula. Soaring high and very pretty plants...great bag appeal and a high that will have your friends shaking their heads. Big thick buds that are dripping in resin.
Both plants are eaasy to grow and very easy to clone. Outside of my Kali Mist, these 2 strains get more "interest" than anything I have ever grown. Not trying to say they are the Holy Grail but they are very fun to grow. Plus, watching others response when you pull out a bud of either of these two is worth the time invested. Top quality on either of these strains.
Thanks Rocky, I will thank you in advance. I am going to order that strain tonight. Should I get fem. seeds or just the regulars? I only need 1 female for now until my mother gets old and needs to be replaced. What I thought about doing was instead of sexing the plant growing I would take a clone when the become large enough and flower the clone immediately to see what sex it is. This way I don't put any strain on the intended mother plant. Also, since I will be ordering seeds and having them shipped to the USA I am limited to a handful of trustworthy companies that ship to the USA. Unfortunately serious seeds won't ship to the USA but Attitude will. What other strain should I get to have on the back burner so to speak?

I know White Russian only comes in regular seeds and I am pretty sure Nubula is regular as well. However, I have had great success with Serious Seeds as far as female/male ratio. On my Kali Mist, I popped 3 and got 3 females...On my White Russian I popped 3 and got 2 females. I know thats no big scientific study but all I can say is, the better the genetics, the better the chance of getting females.
As far as a good solid "back-up" check out White Widow. I currently have Seedsman WW and have been growing it for over a year. Very easy...huge buds...different smell. nice but different. I get solid yields as well and the buzz is very strong and long lasting.
If you go with White Russian, you won't be looking for a backup anytime soon. There are only a handful of strains that I will endorse and White Russian is one of them. One of the few strains that people talk about to this day. It is head and shoulders over most anything avaiable from my neck of the woods.
Well, I can't order from serious seeds, they won't ship to the USA. Who is the breeder of the white russian?

I just got my Serious Seeds White Russian!! yaaaayyyy!!! I also ordered Nirvana Master Kush and Flying Dutchman's Power Skunk Fem. I hope to god my fem. seeds turn out to be OK. I have been reading a lot about fem. seeds turning hermie but it seems that its usually from shady breeders. I only got 5 fem. seeds and spent about 60.00 US so if all goes well it was worth it but if not I will chalk it up as a loss and a learning experience.. I am doing another order consisting of:

De Sjamaan Seeds- White Widow
Sensi Seeds- Skunk#1

OUTSTANDING!!! I have no doubts that you will be blown away by the Serious Seeds genetics. Get prepared to be impressed at every stage. The root system will be very impressive. The smell...the yields...the buzz...they offer the whole package.Don't forget to find you a good mom. It takes some effort to choose a good one but it will repay you 100X over. I have made 3 runs of my Kali Mist and I still can't settle on a mom.

When you say finding yourself a mom what exactly do you mean? Meaning, pick the strongest looking plant? I didn't plan to germinate all 10 seeds.. I was going to germ 2 or 3 and pick a female out of them hoping I at least get 1. Is there something else you recommend me doing? I've honestly never worked with seeds, I usual get clones and make them my own mother but to get the super duper strains I've realized I am going to need to get seeds from the big boys.

Naw, it sounds like you have a very good plan. Thats what I do and when you are dealing with these top shelf genetics. You don't necessarily have to pop the whole pack because they are so consistant and usually only a couple of phenos. I usually pop 3 beans and I have NEVER not had at least one female. More times than not, I get 2 or 3 females out of 3 beans. I posted about this on another thread...it's uncanny.
I am willing to bet that now since you have great genetics, you will ALWAYS spend the extra few bucks for good gear. You will also see that Serious Seeds will preflower at an early age. You will more than likely be able to sex before you are ready to put them in flower. I am excited to see your reaction to Serious gear.
