I personally dont think everything in the marijuana field is figured out and set fact... I think there is still lots of new discovories to come in the future...

And I plan on discovering some of those. It's nice to play in a hobby that hasn't been absolutely perfected by billion dollar companies.

i had a dream the other night that i picked a lil tester bud off a week before harvest and dried it with a hairdryer and it worked nicely! so ill be trying this soon!! (only have a fortnight to go)

Hey juststartin, Newbie here,but just finishing up our 1st grow.I hate to say it but I dont think any speed drying methods work.Its just one of those things that only time can make right.As tempting as it is to want to smoke that delicious looking bud.We tried a sample from one of our plants leaving it on the dvr box overnite.Smoked it the next day.it will get you a buzz,but tastes like smoking lawn clippings.(damn chlorophyll)I think the blow dryer will do the same thing.We are going with the sweating in sealed jar method after 3-4 days hang drying.The waiting reminds me of when my son was born

Why get advanced tips and what not when your obviously not advanced in Marijuana cultivation? (i'm not saying i'm advanced, but i'm not asking for advanced tips like you are.) Should try to be like the regular people and not bite off more then we can chew at first, you learn more that way.

I agree with you Jeff,I think he was just curious.I am sticking mostly with the basics.but I do believe experimenting for yourself is one way to find out if something is better or worse.it is Also risky.With our 1st grow we are testing flushed or non flushed(thanks to panhead)and also weather or not harvesting in a.m or p.m. makes a difference.Sometimes I believe trial & error is the best way to learn.

not the only way : P. I learned a lot from reading and other peoples trial and error lol. It is the best way though.
When I started this thread I was just asking the best way to cure buds. I now know that I can stick them in a jar after hang drying 5-7 days and I can cure them as long as I want. The longer I cure the better the smoke gets. (according to others)

Im not sure what is considered the best way.I have a friend whos grown for years and he puts them in a dark room on cardboard layed on the floor and runs a dehumidifier for 3-5 days.I think the most common curing is sweating in jars or putting in paper bags from what Ive heard and read.Like waiting for the buds 2 be done isnt enough torture.they finally get done then you get to wait for them to cure.Dang! Patience is a virtue 4 sure.
