Polyurethane WILL KEEP YOU OUT OF JAIL!

Thats wierd! Polyurethane is the stuff they put on wood floors after you stain them. It dries hard so it can take foot traffic but its clear. I guess if you paint the cieling with the stuff it would block the heat signature? Its worth a try if you have a lot of lights!

technically they need a warrant, but like on the DEA spike show all thye needed was suspicion. even if that is the case, lets say they aren't looking even looking for you but they're doing thermal readings in the area and your house just happens to be in the frame, i'm pretty sure that's enough probable cause to initiate a stakeout
Actually if ya watch that video you hear them say an informant told them how much he charges per lbs what breed of dog he has ect. So a snitch led them to thermal and go from there. It would be hard for a thermal alone to lead to a warrant as people have tanning beds and all kinds of things in their homes. To kick in their door and wave guns at their kids to find out it was a tanning bed or a hobbist herbal grower would go terrible for any government officals involved. Just my thoughts.

wouldn't you call a snitch a suspicion?.. and i dont think you can mistake growlights with a tanning bed.. maybe some t-5's

That was my point, first always comes the snitch or some other mistake before the thermal. Even if they hadn't got him with thermal they would of got something else cause a snitch led them to him and that house. Sealed lips keeps a safe ship much more so than any heat repelant imo, not saying that safer isn't always better though and anything we can do to protect ouselves should be done.

i was watching Into The Woods on MNBC about a guy who kidnapped a girl and lived in the woods planning to get back at the police dept.. anyways long story short, they were doing an interview with this guy and he said the reason the helicopters couldn't see his thermalreading was because of a material called Polyurethane... he actually walked around in the woods with this material over his head while the police were searching for him undetected... if you coat your whole grow room with this material the police will not be able to detect your heat readings... your welcome
i watched this the other day:clap:

those people on the dea show had outstanding probations and warants out for them, the grow house that got busted was because someone told the police it was going on, they had a bunch of 1000w lights in that small basement, the only venting was going out of the windows, all the windows, so thats alot of heat just being blasted out of multiple areas at the lowest point of the house.

Can you post a link for that? Ive only seen FLIR from military aircrafts, never seen one used on a house. Thank you in advance
It is on the Never get Busted DVD's

I own them - but I am sure that you can find somewhere on the net. I did a quick search and I couldn't find them.

Basically he rolls up on a house, everything looks normal except there is hot air venting from the house. He said if you are going to vent hook it up to a dryer vent cover so it is congruent or pump it into your house and let the hot air average with the air in your house.
