I have just made some cannabutter using around 13gs of vaped weed and about 3gs of stems. Simmered it for 12 hrs and made some fudge. They are pretty potent, and I stay stoned.

I still don't get it ? When you vape you heat up and inhale all the trichomes/thc available, and what is left is of no use (duff).
And Stems hold no thc what so ever, unless coated with trichs.

The stems can still hold THC juice (though, not very much @ all), if they are juicy still and not all dried out! When you vape, ya dont use up all of the THC. However, I use a full oz of GOOD plant, so I would use 3 oz of vaped!

Unless you actually burn the plant matter, there will still be some thc left behind after vaporization up to a certain temperature. The leaves' combustion point is around 400 degrees, and most people don't vap to that high of temps, because that sort of defeats the purpose of vaping it in the first place, because you achieve combustion in the plant matter, therefore you get smoke and it releases more carcinogens.
And, basically just as you said - stems don't have thc unless they have trichomes on them... All the stems off of the shit I buy have trichs on them...

lol ok, I am convinced you guys enjoy smoking to the last trich.
I myself blow out the duff when vaping.
But I do use bud leaf along with bud to make butter. I only use 12 grams per 2 sticks of butter~ one batch of brownies. Normaly one Brownie will creep up on you in 45 mins and keep you Stoned for 7-8 hrs.

Yeah, I've started collecting the vaped weed my room mates produce lol (Although they just got busted for smoking the vap in the dorm room, the fools. Lol)

This is what We do, take off all fan leaves and trash them, take all bud leaves and dry them, add them to 9-12 grams of good bud and break it all down. Boil water then add 3 sticks of salted BUTTER reduce to a simmer and toss in buds and bud leaf. Simmer very slow for at least one hour.
Now use a strainer to catch herb as you put all the liquid in another pot or bowl. Make sure to get all the butter out of herb. (throw away buds).
Put in refrigerator until the butter rises to top and hardens, pull butter off of water and make brownies or toast and butter, popcorn with butter, etc.
3 sticks will get you just over 2 sticks of Puna butter

OK, I have never used vaped bud, I was jus sayin wat I would use if I did. I personally HATE vaporizers, so I NEVER have vaped bud
However, I will not cook w/less than an oz to a stick of butter! And I actually add another 1/4 stick of butter, and 1/2 cup of water to allow for evap. No one can touch my brownies, the clubs wont buy them, I will NEVER usse less than an oz!
