So i have a few plants going, about 2 weeks old, but my buddy is going to cut me some clones in a week or two, what is the earliest time that i can flower and get any amount of bud out of it?

You want to wait to flower for about a month, or until the plant has at least 4 or more nodes. If you switch the light cycle to early to 12/12 it can stress the plants and cause a higher male to female ratio, or induce hermaphrodites. Depending on the light cycle you have now, either 24/0 or 18/6, your plants should show preflowers...which would show up earlier in 18/6. It would be smartest to wait until you see the signs of preflowering before switching your light cycle. The more you let the plant veg the more bud you can potentially grow, but typically most people flower around 4 weeks of veg, which usually means about 5 weeks from when the plant first sprouts.

They aren't getting preflowers yet...what your seeing is just the stem like little shoot that comes out at each node region. I forget the name right now, but don't confuse that with preflowering.

Ok ok, so im growing some plants two weeks old. I was wondering how tall does a plant have to be inorder to flower. I want to bud fast! How many nodes? Or how tall? Thank u

You can start now. Please, i love watching other people as it helps gather much needed data. search '12/12 from seed' or 'party cup'. People actually have alot of fun experimenting with flowing right away. I think its perfect for the hobbyist/patient. Sex shows usually after 21 days from switching to 12/12. Average flowering time is 9 weeks. I think people should try growing bagseed more at 12/12 from seed. It would be beneficial for weeding out the males and jank.

Also an experiment I've been dabbling with is the 36/12 light cycle. I know that there are secret light cycles that even DJ short wont disclose, but only giving it 12 hours of complete darkness every other day seems to work. People talk about it all the time, just nobody really talks about it. In the aerogarden, i think it will be worth it. Maybe FIMMING now too... i don't know it would probably be short enough if you put it directly into flowering.

There is no right or wrong time to flower. You can flower whenever you feel like it. Magic dont rush your buds man, patience is a virtue in marijuana growing. The more time you give it to veg the more you will yield. Ive done what 23 said and I have started some "party cups". Mess around and see what works best for you. The best of luck with both of yalls grows.
