hmmm depends on a lot of things, strain, temp, general environment etc etc...
but generally 2-5 oz per plant would be a very good yield, you may get a bit less

What are you lights like, how are you growing, soil hydro? You have a 6 inch plant now, then you will have a 12-18 inch plant after flower, so you are looking at maybe a 1oz/plant yeild....

Don't come in here and give advice if you don't know what your talking about. Saying he could get "2-5oz per plant/maybe less" you might as well tell him he could get a pound or a little less.
:wall:

With the sizes of your plants now your looking at 14-18 inches when finished. With proper lighting and nutes your looking at 20-30 grams per plant dried weight. Good luck and keep us posted

Be sure to let your buds reach full potential and don't make the newb mistake most growers make and miss your window of harvest. Research your strains and see how many days they flower for and make sure you don't harvest to early because most bud and resin production is completed in the final 2 weeks of flowering. You don't want to harvest if it's not fully mature and if you leave them too long they may pod out. Make sure all your trinchomes are clear before harvest.

I think you meant to say don't harvest until your trichs are cloudy and not so much clear. A clear trichome doesn't contain much if any THC.

Not too be dick or anything. You forgot too write that part.

Anyway what would you say an optimal size is to start vegging?

And if its a sativa do you let it get bigger?

Yes until they are cloudy...Sorry about that.

Not to be a dick to you but I was trying to being a dick because way too many people get an account and think they know everything....No one does and this sight is here to help everyone. If someone goes and starts giving bad info it spreads until its corrected.

Anyways...You mean to start flowering correct? You can veg as long as you want if you have the space and time. Sativas will get huge and in a small space its probably better to flower them early. Plants will usually gain about 50% more heigth in flowering so just keep that in mind. If you are trying to veg for the optimal yield then too many factors come into play for example when I grow in soil I veg for 30-35 days as opposed to when I veg in my aeroponics which is usally 20 days. Genes have more to do with it than anything. I can veg a plant for 25 days and it still comes out to be a 4ft plant.

Fair enough then. Alright couple more questions then. Oh and sorry if it seems like im hijacking here but no one answers my threads :-(

My plant is like 25 days old I think, on its sixth node and its only 3"s. Nice and bushy, but what do you think I should do?

Hit flowering based on age or height?

Its all preference man...I actually clone in my grow boxes under fluros for the first 10 days then go a 15 day veg with mh lights before flower and I end up with anywhere between 1-2oz dry from each plant at about 30 inches tall in 70-80 days depending on what strain i'm growing. I've come to realize that you can get nice yields and its not necessary to veg for 40 days if you have good pruning techniques aka topping, lollipopping or scrog.

Im kinda too scarred to top now. I wanna try it though. But a casualty would be fatal now.
