i've spent atleast 2 stacks on lights... my fans keep breakin.... electric bill is stupid high cuz of the fans i use... shit's out of control

what did you pay per 42w cfl?
i got a smooth deal on 26w cfl's last month. 4$ for 2 packs. prollem was, all 65k. good for veg tho.
im going to use supplemental cfl lighting along with a 600w hps and 400w mh for flowering. thinking about popping another 400w of 27k cfls for precision lighting.
also what kind of fans are you using that are suckin' up so much power?

10 dollars a pop at home depot... i love the touch of cfls they just complete me
i'm going to replace the 250w MH i hav in my room with a another 400w HPS. temps are gonna be fucking ridiculous 
might have to cut down on the cfls because i've cut my bill back to 350 a mo... this will most defiately raise it...

wait. out of the about 105 seeds that cracked, only 80-85 germed? thats an awful ratio! thats just a hair under 81%. I usually germ 25 seeds at a time and i get PISSED if even one doesn't sprout.

am i? i use about 30 cfls for 18 hrs(veg) and 11 more + 250w Mh and a 400w HPS for 12 hrs of the day(flower).... in addition to a dual window fan(running 24/7), 1 box fan 1 vortex(both 12hrs) and 1 inline duct fan(24) and a fan/ionizer(24/7)... if you look at the first pics i posted the shelf which i vegged my BB's on is two layers and there's atleast the same amount of light on the lower level if not more

Great grow you have going on there sir. I have my first two plant setup,which is just a preliminary stage for me to get some experience and iron out the kinks with my box. Ive been looking for a while what to do next and your grow has inspired me and Im thinking of doing something similar in my next grow. Im definitely going to be keeping track.

thanks... my first grow i started with 9 plants, 3 were male 2 died from heat, 1 from root rot and one just isn't flowering(i think it revegged or something) so i ended up with 2 plants... which really sucked from the amount of work i put in but you win some, you loose some

a 10 minute shower is close to 1$ in electricity.
a load of laundry can be up to 1.50 (most is the dryer)
water heaters eat up insane amounts of power and so do floor heaters... basically any kind of heater, but everyone knows this.
the fridge can also suck up a decent amount of power but you can cut back on this with regular maintenance to the fridge
replace every light in your house with 1$ 11w CFLs from the dollar store. 1 incandescent uses more watts than a houseful of CFLs.
be very strict about power usage and you can cut some of that back.
your probably only paying 75-80ish dollars for just those lights so theres still alot of power there.

so i guess you guys are wondering what i'm doing with my free space... well i set up another round of BB's down the middle... i've got the older batch along the sides... everything else(the 16oz's with leaves and the gal plastic buckets) are chemdog, white widow and martian mean green clones... here are the pics
