There fine, actually i recommend to change to 20/4 , but increasing light will not hurt them if they are in veg.

No extra amount of time with light will be bad. The only thing that will change is the plant will be intaking more light and having less time to produce. Shifting to a 20/4 or 21/3 light cycle will allow the plants 2-3 more hours of intake and the dark periods will be much more efficient putting additional light energy to use, i.e. the plant will work harder in it's 3-4 hour darkness than it would in the 6 hours. I would recommend switching them to a higher daylight time for a few more weeks, then drop it back to 18/6 a week or two before you'd like to flower, at which point make the full switch to 12/12. Good luck, keep us updated

actually side by side, 20/4 produces the best, 18/6 and 24/0 are the almost the same.

18/6 is fine theres really no difference with 24/0 so why risk the chance of stressin em? plus u get to save on electricity.

There won't be any stress, you CAN NOT "over-light" a plant. The only change the plan will encounter is it will think it's days are getting longer, identical to nature. Using a longer cycle WILL maximize the plants output, no questions. It's essentially giving the plant a peak such as in summer, once you change the lights back to 18/6 they will use their 6 hours of darkness more effectively, trust me. There is a reason that nature's light fluctuates like it does, it's most common to run 2 cycles of light (24/0 and 18/6) but I have found over my grows that a three tier system works best

I agree with KC, i used to decrease the light from 24/0 to 12/12 by increments of one hour, everyday, sometimes even every two days. I dont do this anymore as it requires to much work, but it is much more like nature. I do use a four tier system though, 12/12 at seed then i jump to 24/0 down to 18/6 then 16/8 and finally 12/12.

I do the 12/12 at the beginning, b/c its supposed to help with the number of females.

I will agree that it is more time consuming to constantly change the light cycles, but I like getting the most out of my grows so it's worth it. :blsmoke:

That four tier system sounds nice, what're your results like? It's ALWAYS better to try to mimic or enhance nature, it's the right way, the natural way :weed:
