Should i grow in my room? PICS need advice

Hey guys watsup? I really hate paying for good weed well basically paying for weed in general. So i want to grow a little plant and hopefully smoke some and learn a lot about mother natures golden plant .

So i am wondering how i'm going to do it. I live with my dad and brother, my brother and i share a room and he smokes and deals so no worry about him. My dad doesnt smoke and i wouldnt want him finding out i'm growing but if he doest find out o well.

So i have some pics and my idea is to grow in this tupperware container inside my closet. I want to but some feminized seeds from nirvana and just grow ONE little plant with some CFLS.

So is it possible? do i have enough space?? HERE ARE THE PICS

I've seem LST grows with good results in similar containers. 100-200 real watts of CFL should do fine. Perhaps four 42w.

If you just want to grow 1 plant you should have a container better sized to your specifications. Like more tall and less long. But you should be able to get away with it.

After reading your post and seeing your pics, I would definitely say no

Your room is too cluttered, I would do a serious cleaning to make space, however you run the risk of your parents finding out.

You never tell anyone you are growing, even if you think you can trust them.

All it takes is one argument and then you are busted.

small grow setups can be the hardest to maintain and require a lot of attention

Also depends on your budget

I just set up a small stealth grow cabinet and have already invested close to 200 hundred dollars.

I probably will invest another hundred during the flowering stage.

Not trying to discourage you, but I really don't think you are setup to grow in that room

You also sound kinda young so i won't even get into the legal ramifications

Well if they have smell anything like mine, If your dad goes into your room, he's going to smell it.

What I would say is this. Yes you have enough room once the closet is cleaned out or at least mostly cleaned out and what little is left is pushed to one side.

Next would be is that the Tupperware container you mentioned in the pictures? If so unless it just appears larger than it is if you are only going to grow one plant at a time you don’t need something that large. How large is it actually? Do you know the size in gallons?

The other thing I would ask is I noticed that the tops of the closet door look louvered. Are they or do they just look louvered because if they are you will have to put something over the louvers to seal out light leaks so you don’t have problems when you are in flower and need darkness when your light is off.

It looks like the inside of the closet might already be painted flat white but if not you would want to do that to increase your light reflection. That or use a reflective material but flat white paint is very good and doesn’t cost much.

Odor could very likely be a problem though.

well i could always get a bigger box and i willl clean out my closet throughly to make more room, i have cultivated masses of magic mushrooms in the same clost this past summer. I'm just looking for a new hobby and i want to grow some find herb. And I am a 20 yr old full time student who also works full time. And my dad never goes into my room i just dont want the whole damn house smelling. And how big does the plant have to be to induce flowering?

ok i dont know what louvered means but i can seal off like half the closet with something so no light can get in or leave. And i just chekced the container it is an 18 gallon i could get bigger or wat ever i need to get. And also i will paint the walls white again, and i was thinking of putting a mirror on the bottom of the container where the plant would be on top of it to provide more reflection. So yeah i just wanna flower one little plant in there probably about 2 ft big in height

You can bring up seedlings on (aprox) one 42w CFL per sq ft. You can veg with that too, but 2x42w per sq ft would be better for veg(over 5k lumens per sq ft(lux) 1 foot away, 200w CFL is around 10k lumens(the start of range for Noon-ish daylight) 25k (lm/sqft) is around upper limit of normal daylight on Earth's surface). When bigger 1-2" range from plant is best for up to 150w CFLs. I think LST might be best way to maximize use of them. Train them around your lights instead of just adjusting lights daily.

I'd advise doing what most people do when they live with their parents- find a nice outdoor spot. The chances of you getting away with it in your parents house is terribly unlikely. You could probably get away with growing shrooms though...

whats up man, yea you plenty of closet space to grow a plant. you need to clean it out and maybe line it with mylar or aluminum foil on the walls.i would do it naturally in a pot of soil. thats way i did mine. i grow out of a closet and usually grow about 6 to 10 pants a time. he will definitely smell it though. you could try some kind of air purifier of some sort but it won't clear it completely. almost my whole house smells from the plants there is not much you can do about that. if you are going to grow though i would plant like five seeds and after growing them for about a week or so eliminate the weak ones. as far as a set up goes, i would go out and buy a T12 20 watt plant and aquarium flourescent light. They are cheap and easy to set up and hang and move along the way. CFL's will end up be more costly. Personally I was the same set up exept with more lights and after about one month i change over to a HPS 400 watt light for the remainder of the grow. well there ya go, i hope it helps ya out.

So if you take a big box, use a razor blade or REALLY sharp small knife and slit very near perfect straight lines... You could then use sheet aluminum or other sheet metal, but aluminum is plenty, and drive though through the slits, so 50% is hanging on each side. Have the fan inside at least passively blow on the inside fins, and ideally have a fan outside the box at least passively hitting them. The longer the slits the better, you only need maybe an inch or so coming out from each side. Hot(or cold) glue and/or foil tape would be best for any light holes. Mix a few food(Cyan-blue/Yellow/Magenta-red) dyes with the glue to turn it near black! Stealth grow heat sink baby! Keep it sealed shut, no smell. Tape it completely sealed if you gotta. Throw a couple items on it, pile boxes, or however to blend it. Like put fins through the top or side, and use boxes to cover the fins & fans(PC case fans can run off 12v DC adapter, depending on the mA of the fans and adapter you may be able to run more than one). Could be attached with long screws and (hot) glue. Glue is usually waaaay better than duct tape in the long run to hold stuff together. Unless it's electrical, then you want electrical tape or screw caps. Don't go making a spark/shock/fire hazard!

rofl dude im stayin with my mom atm they (mom lil bro and his dad) bout 2 leave for a 5 or 6 hour drive im all alone brought in the flat paint and all right in there faces hell tlaked my mom into a 26W 6500k CFL not a hour ago got it hooked up had her buy me the dirt...i mean just about everything and she dont even know it but yet u look at my room and what iv scrapped its obvious rofl parents can be un beleivably dumb u just gotta make sure the evidence is there for them to overlook or your done

since ur container is long and doesnt have enough height, i would just flip it so its standing up on the handle part. put a 8" soil pot inside of it and drill a hole for lighting. and another 2 holes for pc fans. and away u go =) check out my grow in my signature... u should be aiming for something similiar. its only 1.4ft by 1.4ft and 2 ft in height... good luck
