just thought I would pop by and see all the great "Change" that has occured. I am going to be bumping this throughout his Presidency just to update his "Change!"
First bill signed into law-Lilly Ledbetter Act, essentially allowing women to sue for retroactive pay, even though they have negotiated their own pay. You people wer soooo duped. I am all for fair pay, but lets not cry to the teacher about yesterday. By signing this bill, barack obama has essentially nullified the supreme court, who had ruled on this case many years ago by allowing her to recive pay for only the first 180 days.

Quite comfortably, in an apartment, that's 400 sqft, because I'm not stupid enough to think I can afford a house.
I sleep in a bed (which is comfortable)

The only way to fix the system is to dismantle the system completely, and start over from scratch (call it a Constitution stripped down to the Constitution + the Bill of Rights, with modifications to make it clear that everyone is equal.)
And then, write up a document that clearly identifies the goals of the government, and how the government expects to accomplish those goals.
What kind of cost it expects to incur, how it is going to meet that cost, and how it will prevent itself from becoming the large, bloated, wasteful megalith that it is now.

Why not build a new economic system? It's seems like a legit fix, yet nobody ever talks about it. As if it's a damn conspiracy or something.
Why not use a new system that doesn't involve credit? A system that links the world economies (at least nations that want to work together), for easier, more safe control and distribution of money. That way, countries who are suffering can be helped. Everybody helps everybody, to sustain healthy nations for the good of humanity.

You've just sent a chill through every libertarians wallet on this site. I think it would be really hard to find a currency level that would work for every country. In some countries, it takes a basketful to buy a loaf of bread. To create a world monetary system they would have to unitize wage and labor rates, something I'm pretty sure the elites would revel at. This would put us on par with the poorest poor in Africa, or Bangla Desh, can you say 25 cents a day wages. I certainly don't have any solutions to the worlds problems, But a one world monetary system is what the Bankers have wanted all along, probably because equalizing world wages would certainly bring them down so their domestic help would be cheaper. So, bring on the Amero,~LOL~.

Well, I need the popular vote, 250K a year, and all the power in the world before anyone would listen to what I have to say on the economy. but here goes...
1. CUT government spending on useless programs. it isn't that rat feces isn't important to the future of our country, but lets put a hold on the useless gathering of more information when we can't even process the information we already have. Liberals unite!
2. Pick up the trash! I am so sick of seeing mother nature abused the way it is. I say stop welfare altogether and start picking up trash! once you have completed your days work, you will get your food stamps. Unless it is to help a child directly, I wouldn't give a damn cent to the welfare mamas.
3. Stop borrowing money from China to pay off our debt! 500 billion of the initial 700 billion was borrowed from China, where do you think we are going to get this trillion? you guessed wrong, we are borrowing it!
4. I would eliminate Political Parties, see GW on that one.
5. I would increase elected officials salary and make it illegal to lobby your politician.
6. I would build roads and bridges and get this country's infrastructure up to a superpower standard.
7. I would work on eliminating debt, not accruing it.
8. I would put a stop to energy trading on wall street.
9. I would allow the interest of a new Domestic manufacturer made auto be tax deductible retro active.

I know what Washington said about factions, but that doesn't resolve the issue of having what is in essence a one party system right now, with two different branches. Both "parties" are for big government, either to subsidize a welfare state or to subsidize a warfare state.

2. Passing laws that would require the following
A. Bills must address one item only
B. Budgets must show a surplus (have to eventually pay off the debt, otherwise I'd be satisfied with just a balanced budget)
C. No emergency spending measures are allowed
D. The bill must not exceed more than 10 pages in length, and must fully explain how it is going to effect whatever it is addressing, and why it might fail to accomplish its goals.
E. Before a vote can be made on a bill all Senators and Representatives must be present.
F. No amendments will be allowed to a bill that will violate A, B, C or D, and for an amendments to be considered E must be satisfied.

That's not really that surprising, perhaps wage freezes would be more suitable. On top of kicking the lobbyists out of the Hill. Or perhaps wage cuts, why they are earning 4x more than the average American for Senators and Representatives is beyond me, and why the president earns 8x more is also beyond me. It is hardly logical to say that they have additional expenses that can not be met by providing them with 2x more than the average american makes, and expecting them to be able to maintain two residences with that.

Actually I was thinking that a better solution would be to scrap the IRS and replace all income taxes with tariffs and excise taxes. We would of course have to withdraw from WTO, GAAT, NAFTA, CAFTA, the UN, and so on and so forth...
