Newbie in some serious need of suggestions

Right now I'm attempting to grow some bud despite a ton of researching I still feel there’s something missing or I'm going to do something wrong. Right now the seeds are sprouting in some seed starting soil that’s in a 4 gallon tub. The area that it's going to grow in is about 2 1/2 ft. by 4 1/2 ft. closet. The paint is already dull white but I'm probably going to buy some tin foil or mylar and cover the area. The fertilizer I'm using is vigoro all purpose plant food, I’m only going to use filtered water to water it. I want to buy a florescent light for vegetating but the other person that I'm growing it with insists that this blue plant light we have will work just fine its 75 watt light bulb. I guess that’s my biggest concern, what in you opinion is the best light; no need for a detailed explanation I’m just wondering what would obtain the best results. Once it sprouts I'm probably going to keep it under the light for 18 hours. I also bought a squirrel cage and I have a another fan for the air flow, but the room it’s in is my bedroom in the closet with a closed off window and I have absolutely no idea how I’m going to keep it properly ventilated(especially without other light getting in.) And I also have one last question can cops detect the rays a plant light gives off, if so is there a way to avoid it, I heard tin foil or mylar.. I tried not to leave anything out so I'm sorry it's dreadfully long to read.

i think the 75 watt will be fine until you get to the vegitative stage, then switch to an hps for that and the flowering stage

LOL... 'until u get to the veg stage?' .....

LOok man, if u and ur buddy really wanna grow somethin worth smokin, we all gotta work together here, word? First of all, JUST SAY NO TO FOIL!!!- Foil can create hotpspots which in turn can burn ur plants. It is for baked potatoes not grow rooms. Just to start out, get u guys some 6500k daylight cfl's. U said u didn't want details, so i guess go with that. But if u wanna know, I'm willing to help.

Go to Home depot, Rona, Reno Depot, Canadian tire or what ever is near you and buy a 48" Fluorecent ballast. I paid 14$ for mine plus it cost me under 5$ for 2 Daylight T8 tubes. They are working awesome for now. But i am going to throw in few T5's in there when they'll ask for it :P. As for foil remove it as soon as possible, it can harm your plant with that incadecent light... can create hotspots wich will burn the leaf... You'd rather put nothing of some flat white paint of some sort... Anyway hope you find a good cheap light soon.

I pulled my tin the first moment I caught word of these dudes sayin it will hurt the grow, and not help.

I got white friggin plastic bags on my wall ducktaped together and doing fine.

Check my lady: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/154509-32-day-macro.html

I say just get a good bulb to pop that lady and be done with it.

Start low watt yeah, just dont burn the lil bitch haha. Good luck and when you get it goin, just stick with something that works, dont try too much of crazy shit, and be confident in your skills, and each other.
