One plant produces one pound of salable marijuana.

In the closing arguments of the Capital Murder trial of Ryan Frederick, who shot a police officer (IMO in self-defense) during a drug raid, "marijuana expert" Detective Meinhart was quoted as saying:


"...1 plant produces 1 pound of salable marijuana. 1 pound is 16 ounces, and at $400.00 per ounce is $6400.00 times 10 plants is $64000.00."


Obviously, this "weed expert" is full of shit, and there is no possible way an indoor plant can produce that much bud. But how much can it produce?

What is the biggest yield you have personally ever harvested from a single indoor plant?

(Or you can discuss the bullshit lies the prosecution was able to get away with if you're familiar with the case)

personally off 1 plant...... I got 12 ounces (3/4 of a pound)......I normally average 6-8 ozs per plant.... around a 1/2 pound a plant is normal for me

$400 a oz ....no way try street value of $300-325 Skunk indica.... if you know people you pay $225-250 a oz for it

.....................This plant gave me 7 ozs...was in veg cycle for 8 weeks .....12 day tranfer period (time inbetween cycles)..... then in bud for 9 weeks

It's possible to get that and more, but most people don't generally get anywhere even close. We know they exagerate everything.

You can do it just growing 6' tree's with multiple 1000w lights or you can do it with a scrog that you veg for a year under a single 400hps. Either way you're looking at a long veg time, that's the key.

Some plants are capable of this, it's just light and room and root space that keeps them from reaching this size indoors:

2 weeks in a 6 inch cup transplant into a 8 inch potter.

2 weeks in the 8 inch then TP into a 10 inch potter ...2 weeks in the 10 inch then TP to a 12 inch potter.

1 week later cut the lights finish the plant in the 12 inch pot........ 9-11 weeks bud cycle 12-12

multipul 1000 watt MHs for the entire grow ...no HPS I used to use a 50 /50 mix with the lights MH/HPS...I get more and its denser with MH


When I first started growing this strain I used 2 - 400 mh and averaged 3-4 ozs per plant

Why all the extra transplant shock?
2 weeks here and there and it takes a few days at least for the plants to adjust each time. So you are costing yourself yield. All those could add up to 1/4 veg time lost or more.

Most people would never go 6" 8" 10" 12"

Transplanting shock.....who been telling you tales??

Right now....I can show you my rootball on one of my plants in bud...I can pull the ball from the potter... no shock to the plant and I dont destroy the ball...I have alot of experience doing this


look at my results Under 4-1000 watters in 2 weeks time in every potter... I'm root bound and my leaves are drooping... at first my watering is every 4 days by the time I transplant it every other day...normally every 4th watering I transplant

i could pull a pound off a plant indoors under a 400w hps but it would not be worth it i would have to veg and train the plant for like 6 months if you know how you can easily pull a pound off one plant indoors its just not practicall when you could pull a pound off 8 plants in the same space in half the time and end with 2 pounds in the same time it took you to grow a 1 pound plant

I know it's easy to think you're getting around transplant shock but even still it slows them down even if they aren't visibly drooping etc. Have you ever tried just two transplants? Three tops?

Start in your peat pellets or 6" dirt, then into the final container size. With all the light you are throwing it will fill the final container out and reach it's full size much faster than your current 8 week veg time.

I know I see you have great results to back you up as not being some noob... I don't know how long you've been at this, I can see by your results you are certainly experienced, but I've been growing since 1988 so I have had my fare share of experience also.

If I'm wrong and you've tried different ways already please explain to me why it works better your way.

wow you have green fingers real pro by the look of it wish i had half your skill i manage 2 oz at best nearer the 1 to 1 and a half did u use co2 with the grow? and u say u flower with mh? besides that real good pic of really nice looking plant gona give u respect for the pic alone

I have a 12 x 12 grow area and I have another 8x8 dark area.

My lights stay on 24/7 forever I rotate my plants in and out the the grow area when they are in bud...this alllows me to produce twice the amouint of weed in the same area

i'm thinking the "expert" meant not only was the plant probably producing a half to 3/4lb of bud per plant, but he also seemed to include the amount of hash that could have been made from it as well.....ghey

OHHHH yea hash....thats an addtional high...I dont use the bud... only the trimmimgs

I make my own hash from the scraps and bubble bags....I QP of sugar leafs... I get 9 gs pure bubble (melting) hash

From the shit fan leaves I still get hash but its not bubble ..... 2-4 gs from a QP

I prefer to grow em big and my last 3 indoor plants yielded 4.5 pound which I am yet to see from a small SOG. It all comes down to how much room you have and your lighting.

i was merely stating that you can grow a 1 pound plant but have better results with more smaller plants... so what your saying is you can grow pounds thats great im happy for you...

i pull 8-10 oz in a 3x2.5 space every 2 months i have a seperate veg\ mother room so i can veg while my others are flowering..... yeaaa me, and i dont need to move plants around but once every 2 months
