Sativa Vs. Indica? how can u tell early?

So i have a couple plants going about ten..the are just some bagseeds but some are long and skinny some are short and wide...now does this mean if its has fat fan leafs that its going to be indica?..b.c about 6 of them have skinny leafs and long like a sativa and then 4 others are smaller/and shorter...and the fan leafs are much wider...does this mean that it is most likely going to be indica?

also is there a 3rd type of plant...my friend and i are having an arguement about that there is a plant for mids...and i told him no..that mids most of the time is just dank that gets fucked up.....thanks
