24/7 lights during veg vs. 18/6?

A Quick Q:
I began my first grow about 1.5 weeks ago - which was when the seeds hit the wet paper towels indoors. Since then I have had my 3 seeds under 3 x 42w CFLs that have been running 24 hours/day.

While I have read that a normal veg cycle is 18/6, I read that 24 hours of light will only speed it up. I was wondering whether this is true or if the 6 hours of darkness may be important for the plants? Thanks.

id go with 18/6 and always have, (1: It saves power, 2: Generates less heat, 3: Plants need darkness at some point of there lives) other than that it don't really matter.

Plant dosent need a dark cycle in veg. Plants will grow more since there 6 hours of more light, depends how fast you want to grow them, Ive used 24/0 and 18/6, they grow faster under 24/0. I veg under 18/6 because I have so many plants in veg, but no space in my flower chamber so i put them at 17/7 so they wont outgrow my veg chamber until i can flower tham..............................put them 18/6 or 24/0 they grow a little faster under 24 hours of light

18/6 is good for a steady veg and 24/0 is good for rapid growth if you grow is time sensitive. The only problem with 24/0 is the roots won't develope as quick, but can catch up during 12/12.
