Nice,so what all did you use to build it,size of tub, size of net pots and does it have a resavoir, how many airpumps, and did you need another type of pump besides an air pump.thanks, that is what i wanted to try and build a four potter with 5 or 6inch netpots.

Ok so system goes as follows, there are two main res. I only pictured one, the other one is built identical to the one pictured.

Materials used per resivoir:
(1) 315gph water pump
(4) 6" net pots
(10ft) 1/4" air tubing (both for net pot watering and the air stone)
(1) air pump
(1) manifold (these are made in 2,4,6 and 8 port versions and can range from 1-12gph)
(1) item with lid to serve as a resivoir

Lighting:
(2) 400w ballasts
Vegging 1 HPS 1 MH (hps is hortilux super hps, mh is venture lighting's MS400w/HOR [their basic MH bulb])
Flowering I will run same lamps but switch the MH out for a second HPS of same brand

The res is just a tupperware bin bought at a local hardware store, don't know how much water they hold but I have 15 gallons in each and they are only 3/4 full.
Net pots are 6" and 4 per res
Net pots are being fed by a water pump at the bottom of the res (315gph) [although the gph isn't important it's more the pump has to feed at around 25psi, I have found any pump around 250-350gph will feed this psi]
The pump feeds to a 4 port manifold (bought at local hardware store as well) made by raibird that is adjustable to 0-4gph I have it set to 2gph
And also inside the res is 1 air stone to oxygenate the water

There is also a third res. but it's empty (only holds nutrients [25gallons]) and it just uses gravity and the float valves (purchased at local hydro store, but toilet floats can be used if you know how to modify them)in the main res's to keep the mains at a constant 15 gallons

Oh but to save yourself about an hour of taping and 3 rolls of tape, make sure your resivoir doesn't let light in....I found out after I had taken these home that the bottoms are slightly transluscent. And since algae will grow in water that is exposed to light I decided to tape the resivoirs to keep any fluctation in PH or what not in my water to a minimum.

If anyone is curious my nutrients are pictured below.

I will also be using the below items for cloning gel and foliar feeding.

Keep stopping in, next Sunday or Monday I should have pictures of the grow room build (I have a grow box built but it's a bit rudementry for my tastes) from start to finish for those that have the room in their house to build a grow room but may lack the knowledge how.

I'm trying to put together a DIY for grow room build, unless there is already one on here?

Here are some kinda part by part pics for those putting together a materials list.

The last pic is of the manifold alone, that is what it looks like on the store shelf. My particular version required the purchase of one $0.97 adapter, 1/4" hose barb that is threaded at one end to screw into the bottom of the manifold. The 1/4" end fit into the pieces that came with my pump so no 1/4" hose was required in my application.

Another tip:
I purchases both air and water pumps that could be repaired. Air pump diaphrams wear out, and water pumps usually have small parts wear, out although neither are expensive to replace, I find it easier to replace a diaphram or impeller than to purchase new items all of the time. Besides, if things fail...spare parts are small, cheap...and can be kept on hand for immediate repairs.

looks good but I think you might wanna get a new bin cover and put the net pot 1 in each corner to maximize space. your gonna need all the room you can get. I had a setup like that with 6 and it sucks once the plant gets like 8"-10" theres no more room so i switched to a bigger one, my res is 42" long and like 20" wide and they still are pretty crammed but it works.

heres a pic of the res. I only wish it was deeper than 7" but it supports the roots just fine. this is the best & fastest way to grow, bubbleponics. Its way faster than soil. my small 2" clones hit 8-10 inches within a week of forming roots!!! 1 week veg all it took. they grow more than an inch per day. now that is fucking fast for a plant i never seen anything like it in my life. Actual dimensions are below:

#5334 Slim Fit™ Wheeled Underbed Box - 17 gal 43x19.5x6.7in

Only negative is you have to cover it in aluminum tape to block out the light.

Arrrgggg....that was my fear. I may even go one more res and 3 pots per, and I gain an extra plant by doing that. Thanks for the advice.

And on another note, taping not a big deal...even my res was trasluscent I ended up taping them as well.

If you go to a auto paint store they have paint that will adhere to plastic and not peal off like spair cans. Some fine sand papper and a wipe down with mineral spirits and paint away. One 1/2 pt. will paint about 10 of those res.. Yours looks good and clean and a nice build too. Good job,Please keep posting with the pixs too.PEACE

their basic kit is $89.00 before tax and shipping, we'll round up to $90 calling two $180 even, that doesn't include mediums or nutes, that's just for their basic hard parts assembly.

I'm at $230-$250, for two units built identical to theirs except I used 4 six inch they used 6 four inch pots, PLUS extra res main res, all my nutrients pictured, the cloning gel, 36 rockwool seed cubes and my hydroton rocks.

And I had to pay ZERO dollars in shipping and had to wait ZERO time for shipping to my door. And had cheap labor (called over 3 buddies and I smoked them out for assembly help)

But honestly I think the biggest bonus is, when you build it it ends up being built for you as well. I customized the res's and all my water and air line connections the way I wanted them so they will work best for me and my applications and needs ya know. Where there kit is put together in the most basic rudementry way, off a mass production assembly line, designed for basic quick setup.

On a side note I am framing out a 6'x6'x9' grow room, will have pics of that as well if anyone is interested, and a week from saturday seeds go in so expect the journal to start in the next say...3 weeks.

Thanks for your interest everyone!!!!!!

How much is the Manifold?
Where can i purchase this?
Under $10, local hardware store

The brand I purchased is RainBird

It's for an outdoor drip irrigation system, but then again so is the one SH puts in their kit

They make a claim on their website, and it's true...quote: "all parts can be purchased at a local hardware store" ease of repair...or in our case ease of build :blsmoke:
