Do you have guard dog's?

How is that not related? You got a mean ass dog it has no place being around people. Keep it locked up in a room or something. It's totally different if you're not dealing, and they are just there to protect from burgulars. But when you got people constantly coming in and out of your house they need to be locked up. Why even put a dog in harms way by training it to attack someone who may very likely have a gun anyway?

If you have a mean ass dog it was taught to be like that from the beginning. Some breeds like mastifs are bred to be guard dogs, but if given the nod by the owner he wont bother you. Breeds like pits are not guard dogs. If you teach them to be one...you're turning them into something they're not, and not only will others pay...so will you. Hell most breeders euthanize members of a liter if they show aggression towards humans. So next time you have a dog that's aggressive pop the owner and not the dog.

Trust me, I love dogs. However, if a dog snaps at me I'm not taking it as any kind of game. I understand what you're saying. If I'm playing tug of war and the dog growls I'm not gonna freak, but if it's looking at me barking showing it's teeth I'm gonna be cautious and if he makes a sudden movement toward me after showing signs of agression (Say whatever you want, dogs only show there teeth as a warning. They don't do it to play.) as soon as he gets within range he's getting kicked in the head. I have a son to raise and I'm not gonna leave him alone with his deadbeat ass momma because you thought your dog was being cute.

Man..some of you folks hang out with some high stung people..Needing attack dogs..TOO much drama. I have dogs, they be mellow mostly..unless my wife , or cats are threatened. Me..they could care less about as "I'm the alpha" I'm supposed to take care of myself. Loyal dogs*l* I won't put them in the position of defending me..I'm quite capable of doing that myself..The dogs role is to tell me when something is not right..then..back to snooze..They figure it's my turn.Of course the means to defend myself is always very close at hand..or armpit.
The best way to avoid all that unpleasantness is to grow yer own*s*

With my dogs the biggest problem has been coyotes..Not getting eaten by them..but their shredding one..That's MY pleasure.

its not related because its pedophiles and dogs. where is the correlation brah?

in all honesty, if you got a dog you mistreated, you're at more risk than the person who it may attack. law suits, dog put to sleep, possible grow op compromised, same with wheelin an dealin.

the way you are being recieved by this audience (atleast me and i believe biggravy) is "you're one walking tall big stick carrying bad ass mother fucker with steeltoes and an agenda to teach every dog that can back his bark with a bite a swift lesson in the book of death"

and thats just not cool.

Also pedophiles have a chemical imbalance. People aren't taught to be pedophiles. They just have no control around children. Dogs are creatures of repetition. They learn what you teach them. They do what you allow them to do. Bottom line. And you're right...if he's talking like this now...I can only imagine what kind of bravado he uses when he's around dogs. Walking around with his chest out all tense and shit. Any dog would react a little off if you present yourself like a challenge.

I get into arguments with people and moose hides behind me. It's hilarious.

If a dog bites you or is attacking you---the owner has to get it away---you go swiping at it and that dog is just gonna think---I made the right call---this guy is a total deuche and had it coming---I'll get atleast three dog treats for his scalp :)

It depends on a few factors.

1. Are you the Alpha Dog? If so...he will usually cower behind you. If he sees you as an equal or lesser dog he will protect you.

2. How bad are you hurt. If you smack me, and I shake it off...that's one thing. If you hit me over the head with something and fall to the ground he'll probably come to my aide.

it's all situational, and what kind of order you have in your home.

exactly...once he get's going...only person who's going to make him stop is the owner.

I agree with Louis. I think he is just stating it on the defensive. I think ANYONE would do what they had to do in order to get an attacking animal off of you. I know that my birds are not dogs, but, they do damage. I have been viciously attacked by my largest parrot. If this bird ever decides to do this again I will kill him. I will do whatever I have to do in order to get him off of me and if that means beating him to death I will. I think it is foolish to think that someone would just lay there and be mauled by an animal.

Everyone here knows that I am an animal lover. However, I love me more.

This is crazy that so many people are not willing to defend themselves. No wonder pot isn't legal. I said it earlier, I love dogs, but I ain't gonna risk my life to protect theres. I have had dogs my entire life. I've had dobey rotteys and sheppards, I understand where the love for big dogs is coming from, however, I always knew that if my dog started getting too hyper, or got angry I'd always lock him up in the bedroom. If everyone did that we wouldn't even be having this conversation. This thread started when a dude said he shoved a guy into the room and the pitty made him stay down with his face in a corner. Fuck that.
