Hey how much and how often should i water plants in 3 gallon containers?
Most of it depends on the enviroment, u really need to go by feel. No one can really tell u how much.Hey how much and how often should i water plants in 3 gallon containers?
goodluck, and goodgrowThanks guys I appreciated the advice, I went a head and ordered that same moisture meter you should me. Oh by the way I have 2 Barneys Farm Red Diesels, 1 Greenhouse Seed Co. Big Bang and 1 G13 Labs Durban Poison if you guys have any other thoughts or experience with these strains
So i guess Ive been waaaay over watering my plant. Ive been watering it 3-4 times a day but ive only been doing this for the past week. Before that I would water once in the morning and one at night.Yea it all depends on the plants and how far along they are. I use 3 gallon grow bags and have 3 plants. They usually take almost the whole 1 gallon jug of water each watering. Soak the shit out of them when they are dry and then lift the plants up. 2 days later lift it up again and feel how much lighter it is. Use the meter and and when it tells you they need water, lift them up as a guage. You can tell after a few times and won't need to measure after a while.
It all depends on the plant but it sounds like quite a bit. Pot plants are a moderate climate plant so it like to get the dirt nice and dry before it gets more. As long as the leaves aren't sagging down and looking droopy it may be able to handle it. As far as lower leaves falling off, it will happen in the flowering stage I noticed. I'm no pro by any means so don't take this like I'm a know it all. Good luck!So i guess Ive been waaaay over watering my plant. My reasoning for the more watering is because recently I had to move my plant and a few days after moving all the bottom leaves began to dry up and crisp off. the top of the plant is doing fine but i dont know whats wrong with it. Its on 12/12 now and its about 2 ft tall id say. Its a jack frost strain if that helps. And this is my first plant btw so any tips would be appreciated
ok thanks. I think im going to cut back watering to once a day then.It all depends on the plant but it sounds like quite a bit.
