... dry ice is a lot colder, stays frozen longer, and is just simply co2 in solid form... seeing as how plants love co2....

maybe too expensive to do every night... but i dunno, maybe more beneficial?

what do you guys think?
It does get pricey but not too bad. My grow area is small, two plants max, and its enclosed so When I throw two of my big two gallon frozen water containers in the box at night with the fan on, it gets pretty damn cold in there, they are frozen by morning, but I always have two extras frozen for the next night, I just rotate them. It takes a day for them to re freeze. My way is free as long as you have a freezer

Cooling down I agree with 100%. Dry ice is good in theory, but the leaves only need the CO2 during lights on so the added cost of dry ice is counter productive.

... hmm... thinking about this more though...

if you happen to have a completely sealed off flower room... that wasn't too big atleast...

using the co2... when light come on, the excess co2 would be like a little boost in the morning when the lights come on... (you would need to be in control of the ventilation though... ya know?)

i dunno... just throwin out more ideas...

out here in quebec, canada the outdoor is kept untill the frost comes twice. if planted in the right time. around september and october is the best time of getting your plants frosted;)

I agree just don't have the right setup for dry ice, what I might consider doing is the yeast thing does anyone know a quick set up for this? All I know for sure is it helps the girls, give it a try.

I live in Maine we border u guys I'm growing outdoors an haven't decided on forcing my plants to flower or 2 jus let em go.I grew em from bag seed so I dunno what strain or strains I got but I don't wanna lose everything to the frost u know.I've heard bout puttin 2 black plastic trash bags over each plant round say 6 or 7 at night an takin em off bout the same time in the morn. That way by the time the frost hits you're already at harvest an have nothing to worry bout.Been told a few times to let em be and a couple said the bag theory sounds good.I'm just looking for all the options I can get and what's worked for other people in the north.

I just started using epsom salt a couple days ago and looks like my plants are having a field day with it.My braches doubled in width and length almost over night.I topped a few plants, looks like I'm getting about 5 new shoots but it's only been like 4 days since I topped em.

Epsom Salt is Magnesium Sulfate it's pretty cheap.U can find it at Wal-Mart or probably any where else that deals with plants for 2 or 3 bucks.

Well it's water soluble like almost anything else but u can either foliar feed or root feed with it.I'm doing both as of a few days ago along with my usual MG all purpose. It's working pretty well

I'm on my first grow and they're in veg,I don't know much about flowering.Maybe somebody with more knowledge could tell u but it does work well during veg.

At least u won't have a magnesium or sulfur defiency using it cuz that's all it is.Just Mag/Sulfur mixed and my plants are loving it.Best of all....it's really cheap.
