Guerilla Growing using the best technology
OMG GOOGLE EARTH IS AMAZING! Satelite imaging of land

1) Get an aerial view of public, private, federal land.

2) See where you are in coordinates with houses, roads.Woods, fields

3) I live out in the country, this works so well. I aerial map a place. Then go there out on foot with my sateilite images, and beauty is created.

4) See remote parts of land, then travel to them

Work smarter not harder, these beat maps in many different ways, you can see clearings in woods, old out of use farm fields, creeks, ponds, marsh.

Just wanted to spread my trick around to the Marijuana community.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE:spew:
Google is a free download, the images were taken i believe in 06-07, but its pretty dead on still

I LOVE GOOGLE EARTH! It helped me find THE best plot near my house. I didn't even know it existed until I was goofing around one day. Its roughly 250 ft from my house, and its better than you would even believe.

Take a look at GE, you'd be surprised at what you'll find...

hmm depends you might be moving to fast. you cannot really zoom all the way in, but i can see all of my propert, my pool, barn, tree lines, ponds, creeks.

Its a great tool, it might be blurry bc theres thick forest of trees but try and find a road that you know EX. highway and then look into farmland

It really depends on where you live, I live in a town of about five thousand and the arial views are completely useless. the more populated the area the better the satellite images are. so it probably won't work for a lot of people

Acually take my original statement back. It had been about a year since I had last used google earth, the clarity of the pictures has gotten pretty good. I think I found a few great spots that are in the dense forest swamp by my place. I love how I can see all the houses around the area that I had no idea even existed.:weed:

this is indeed useful... this technology has been around before google maps/earth too... i think google bought it - it was called "keyhole" and was a program like google earth... everyone on OG used to use it for this very thing ;-)

good to know, lil bit of history.

this might make it easier for plots to be found, hopefully not. knock on wood

I was going to mention I used it about 8 years ago. The images were roughtly 5 years old at that time, but it gave you a general idea of what is/was there. google maps are updating continuously, so if you don't like the image, wait a while :)

But, whatever you are able to see, others will too, so keep that in mind.

Lastly, in addition to google earth, I use my local government's property deed website. Their website has very similar views, but add into it property lines, so you can look up who owns the land. It helps if you are familiar with the area, and know that Bobby Brown moved to Mexico, but still owns his land .... or can easily show you where the "highway" land ends and the Smith Farm begins.

Personally, I like to find "land locked" plots of land. Every now and then you can find a peice of land (like a few acres) that does not have access to a road, covered in woods, and doesn't have an easement. Odds are, whoever owns it is not very likely to be going there any time soon, especially since you have to trespass on someone else's land to get there.

The only thing I havn't been able to do is find out what land the local government still owns. Certain plots either were never sold, or were retaken by the government and havn't been sold yet. I can't tell where they are. But still trying!

yes a couple of land properties that i have been scoping out are land locked, and in a baby pine thicket. The pines are about `1-6 feet perfect for growing in. I need to look up who owns the property though. good idea
