light schedule for growth stages

I've done my research, really, but for some reason I cannot find this:

How many HOURS of light per day during vegetative and the bloom?

I believe I saw 12 hours on/12 off for blooming, but how much for veg?

You can do either 24 hours of light or 18/6

18/6 up to 24/0

I recommend 20/4, since it apparently produces the best end yield.

20/4 is good. The plants need a few hours to rest. Those 4 hours can also help promote growth.

I switched mine part-way through:

24 hours of light for the first 3 weeks (gets them nice and big quickly)
18/6 for a further 5 (lets them fill out and get bushier quicker I reckon - DO THIS IF YOUR PLANNING ON TAKING CLONES...I found loads of nodes which were big enough to clone, then die lolol - ah well, first time cloning 1 out of 10's probably not too bad)

Then onto flowering (12/12 - plants are about 2 foot tall and now have about a half on each)
