How to build a PC Grow Box (Pics Included)

yes cfl's are those energy saving lights phillips make em and ge too
they are those bulbs that wind up like a coil for vegging use daylight or sunlight bulbs with 6500k and for flowering use warm or cool light
 
how much do u guys think i could get from the pc grown weed(white widow seeds)?
would it be atleast a few grams? cause i would keep it in the pc grow box most of the time, for all stages..wouldn't be moving it out....

hey burnzy if you need help hooking up those fans just shoot me a message its no big deal im sure you have something laying around we can use for power supply!
 
they only cost me a 1.24 at walmart here close enough
its just walmart here didnt have the right light spec i needed :0(
or the spliters i had to go somewhere else
and they didnt have alot of soil or nutes there to pick from either :0(
i went to lowes they didnt have everything either but that had more of what i needed.
they even had 300w cfls but for the flowering spec :0(
i still migght get a couple of them when i do flower though
 
ryt are these cfl. they dont say what colour temp they are or that they are CFL, it just say energy efficient bulb. pics below

ya those are a kind of cfl
but from the color it looks like
i dont think that the right one
u want one that says daylight or sun light
look for the specs on the box in the store
u want them to say 6500k
and get the ones that equal up to a 100w
u want the bulbs to the blue side of the spec for vegging
the one u have is for flowering u just need more watts
and cfl's are besides those they are the spiral looking shape bulbs those r the ones
 
i read somewhere that those U shaped ones have a better light distribution than the spiral ones, and you defiantly want higher watts
 
I bought that computer case but my next problem is keeping most of the light from showing on the outside. I put construction paper on the inside of the slots for cd drives, and the light doesnt show through that anymore. I did the same thing on the back for the power supply and monitor slot. There are still spots where light is clearly showing through around the seams of where the sides meet the top etc.. will get a picture but does anyone have any suggestions of making it more stealth by keeping the lighting from showing?
 
u could always use like rubber liner around where the light is coming out of

Yeah i was thinking about something like that. Idk, hopefully its possible. If i can get a successful grow out of this thing when its insanely stealth i'll deff be buying lowryder seeds, would be amazing. More ideas welcome, clowdy where do you think i'd be able to get something like that, and would it be safe with the heat of the lights?

From my understanding, they are PERFECT for them. I think lowryders get a max of like 16'' tall? The case i ordered is like 20 so that gives it room for lights and soil on each end. But ive never grown yet just gathering all my supplys and now i need to make my computer case light proof to the view on the outside.

or u could get those things like the cars engine bays have the rubber things hey theres heat in there why souldnt it be safe there
its like a rubbery foam type of thing just wedge it in between when closeing
 
Yeah, not sure how im going to be able to do this. Ill let you know what i decide on doing or whatever i find works and i'll provide pics.
 
this looks sick. im new and have 2 questions.
one, would the plant grow to large and need to be moved?
two when it growing does it emit an eroma and make my room smell?

well it will give off a smell unless u mask it somehow
and depending how much u vegg it
and he szie of the pc

If you let it grow normally without topping or using some sort of method to keep it small, its gonna need to be moved. I have a 20'' case that i just bought and put lights in it, thinking about ordering some lowryder seeds but EXTREMELY paranoid about ordering online.
 
ya plants wont grow too big unless u take them out after it out grows the pc box
and seeds i dont know too much about how tall they get i just grow what ever i get :0)
