First LST Attempt

I tried to do the whole spiral around the pot idea but the side branches bushed out so quick I gave up on the idea. I still LST'd the branches to grow more outward than inward.
I think I LST'd too young and too much, maybe but just be sure to not over bend your stems-- I LSTd a mainstem before and it ended up cracking like an hour later...luckily I was still in veg and the plant recovered very nicely( almost seemed to help it)
Heres a pic of'm. Skunk #11 on left and Pure Power Plant on the right.

What you described is called super cropping, you pinch a spot on the stem and bend it down to 45 or 90 degrees. As the plant heals, it bends back upwards, and it increases the bushiness of the plant. It also reduces vertucal growth if you are running out of space, you can super crop, and even tie them down and that stem will shoot up new buds all the way down it.:weed:

LST is light stress training where you are tieing the secondary arms of the plant down to increase light distribution to the lower areas as a result increasing the overall yield. Sea of Green is minimizing the amount of time you are in vegetative state where you can increase the number of plants in a given area. Sea of Green concentrates on generating more top colas with more plants in less space. LST concentrates on increasing the overall yield with less number of plants.

Isn't it Low Stress Training? Anyways, you're basically right on. I've done both and I think I just like SoG more cause it takes less time from harvest to harvest (roughly 2 months from clone). LST is more fun though I must say. Here's some pics of both my LST and SoG grows. The SoG pics are from my last grow, the one I have going now are in much smaller pots.
