hey sicc if i may give u another suggestion...go ahead and remove all the big fanleaves on the girl u topped,take the fan leaves off the main stock,this will allow for extra light penetration to the new forming shoots,it will slow the plants growth for a few days allowing the othe plants to catch up in realative height.

well the other ones are already catching up and i only had to remove 2 fan leaves from the TW and 2 from thw WR to get more light, i did it on like monday or tuesday

I don't like to remove fan leaves, but in a SOG I remove the bottom 18" for improved air-flow. If anything I think SICC's grow would benefit from a screen, when they reach the screen some of the bottom branching could be removed. I bet with a screen you would get record yield out of the aero-garden.

Yea i actually wanted to do a screen when i was first planning it out, i have these things which are perfect for it, but i dont even kno what to do i never researched it, haha i kno its not that hard you i would get the basic info down first, but with the fan leaves i cut them the day after i topped, im not going to remove any more, the one i did cut were actually bloccing ashit load of light cause now the other plants, like i said are catching up, but the TW responded very well to the topping, kinda like that description i put up for DL said

I think u would want to use the screen in a horizontal grow sicc.. Meaning if u have head room issues its best to top and grow more main stems for colas to reside sir.
My grow is entirely different. I have a mom and am concentrating on just main cola's.
Im trimming my bottom third stems and leaves on my plants for room as NG described. Air flow, Cola room, ETC. Im growing vertical though..

Man, cutting fan leaves on young growth casn stunt the hell out of it and definitely slows growth. He hasn't got a lot of leaves there so he needs all the energy producing leaves he can get in early veg... They'll find the light by themselves, It's not like the plant is crowded. Bent the leaves a bit if you like...... I do trim fans when necessary but never on new growth.

Yea growing is a controversy man everyone has there own way that works! If it works for a grower i say by all means grow on and get smoked out on ur own bud cuz thats the main goal really! I want to see siccs TW achieve maximum potential for alot of reasons.Im thinking about getting some beans. Id like to know what they are capable of at maximum potential..
Everyone knows the trimming of fan leaves is not advised....
But in Veg and the time this was advised i think it was good advise man.
Id like to see the stems right now and how and if the stems are growing uniform with the rest of the plant.
In flower however i would not cut fan leaves unless they were blocking crucial light to other colas that were budding unless i had to. I would lst until i couldnt lst anymore before i cut fans in flower..
Either way. We all have our own ways. And im sure there is much reason for it.
Sicc is growing in tight quarters lol. He wants to grow bushes. He wants many stems to harvest. I think he did right. The advise was on point for this particular grow.

You can do that way better by topping & femming and tucking fan leaves than by removing fan leaves from newly vegged plants....but like he said, we all have our ways. I cut fans too, just not when I need 'em for growth. There are many ways to grow huh!!!

By all means homegrown is correct.....
Theres alot of variables. And listen to what he is saying because hes right for sure.


All i was saying in this instance it was proper to cut the fans for the rest of the stems to catch up so the plant could grow uniform together as one and create more main colas that could compete for light during flowering..

Thats knowledge right there.Glad i could be a part of it.

I removed a lot of fans in my current grow and my plants are very shory & stocky, which is good for an AG grow, I guess. I topped/femmed to much and I'll have a ton of popcorn. I see your point guys. Strategic trimming may be necessary to improve the grow....I think I got a little carried away with trimming mine and am regretting it.

Sup all? Everything is goin good, not too much goin on except for my ladies growin haha, There still drinking pretty crazy, jus hope i can keep up wit em during flowering, other than that, all is good in the hood

Is the WR, PBK, and the MS, the WR is gettin really really bushy, its like a ball of green haha, the PBK is gaining some hieght, am really excited for her, and the MS is Pullin Thru, starting to bush out a lil, the PBK is the only one i didnt topp and i probably wont, i wanna let het grow by her self
