Chronic marijuana smokers show evidence of decreased lung capacity

What's your opinion of this articular?
Thanks
Tom

Chronic marijuana smokers show evidence of decreased lung capacity and chronic bronchial irritation. Marijuana also may contain the fungus Aspergillus. Studies suggest that serious lung infections may result from inhaling this organism. Because chronic marijuana smoking may impair your body's immune system, your lungs may be more susceptible to this and other infections.

Well it's misspelled in places. The wrong words are used in some parts...curses for cures for example.Anyone who can't use a simple spell or word check is not someone I'd take as an authority.Mold is from improperly cured and dried weed.Animal droppings?Really? So,the animals climb up the plant and shit in it?As opposed to shitting around it?If you're worried about smoke, vaporize.
Also, as an aside....marijuana can be used as an antibiotic for cuts and scrapes.

Decreased lung capacity can't be true. Even when I smoked 24/7 massive amounts of ganja, just like the other guy above I still was off the charts on lung test.

If anything I think it's the other way around for those that take huge bong hits. We are always stretching our lungs doing that.

From the responses I get a feel of preconceived conclusions no matter if there is any truth to the article or not or misspelled.

I notice chronic use sure brings up the brown filled flem, I would believe the over use is different for everyone but the same build up of carcinosis gets into the lungs even with the use of a vaporiser with heavy use.

No, not preconceived conclusions, just know when to call bullshit, no offense to you. From smoking, the brown phlegm comes from the tars...when vaporizing, the tars aren't inhaled, so how can the same carcinogens get inhaled?http://www.marijuanavaporizer.com/benefits.html
I'm sorry, but yeah, man, you come on a marijuana forum and ask an opinion about this article, more than likely, you're gonna get a lot of stoners picking it apart!:peace:

Read "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" by Jack Herer he explains the bullshit studies that are passed around by NIDA and other Drug War organizations. I ask again what studies are being quoted in this article? It's bullshit :peace:

Omeds has it right , we get better lungs with bad ass bong hits n such , its liek training, i can hold my breath a good couple minutes longer now im sure too , and thats from childhood smoking games more than anything.

You can tell its just propaganda against Marijuana because at the bottom it says it has "No Medical Use." Even people who hate it recognize that it does benefit some people, the just don't realize that it also benefits many more as well.

Smoking anything screws your lungs.. I have a spirometry exams twice a year..after smoking butts and weed for 42+ years.. COPD..chronic emphysema... but my old lady lost a lung to emphysema... she never smoked anything.. if you're predisposed to lung issues you'll have them..

A study came out last summer (ish) about the combined effects of marijuana smoking and cigarette smoking. They began with the hypothesis that the combined exposure of smoking marijuana on top of cigarettes created more serious lung problems. I was really interested in the results because my husband smokes both and I wanted to "make a point." The results of the study were eveidently a huge surprise because the research showed that cigarette smokers who also smoked pot had healthy lungs. Maybe all that coughing keeps the tar from attaching
