Pro Mix is all I've ever used. It is considered a "soiless" mix as it contains no soil (as in black topsoil) Fresh out of the bale it's Ph is low until it's moistened and the limestone can react with the peat to counteract it's acidity. You have to keep it flushed with each watering to the point of heavy runoff to keep the Ph at it's proper level. I don't know what the PH is after wetting but it's good as I've had no problems as long as you keep flushing it.I am using a pro mix as a grow medium. Please advise if this is a soil or a soiless medium. Also what PH should this medium be? I appreciate al help.
I don't know, I don't have a tester.Frmrboi, Thanks.
What ph is the water you are watering with?
Hey Picasso, its Premier Pro- Mix got it at a grow shop. Not sure what PH to water with so my plant has both nute burn and nitro deff. What kind of Pro-Mix is it?
Your water, after you add nutes, should be at a PH of 6.5. I would suggest using that Pro-Mix straight out of the bag with no additions on your part.Hey Picasso, its Premier Pro- Mix got it at a grow shop. Not sure what PH to water with so my plant has both nute burn and nitro deff.

Hey Farmboi, I'm getting ready to use pro mix - waht do you mean by keeping it flushed. Do you flush with water between feedings? Or you just mean that you let the nuted water run through?Pro Mix is all I've ever used.
