I walk into my uncles grow op and hes mashing a kiwi in a pitcher full of water and feeding his plants this shit for the last 2 or so weeks of budding. apparently its like a fert and it acts like a molasses. anyone hear of this before? hes always doing crazy shit but this is just odd

i looked on wikpedia and on the right side of the page it showed that there is a lot of stuff a pot plant can use,in the way of fertilizer.but i dont know if you should add it to the plant

Just like molasses, most fruit extracts or juices contain complex carbohydrates and minerals, the two important elements that make molasses so special for growers.

We just prefer using molasses because it's a concentrated form of minerals and complex carbohydrates, it's pretty much easy to find, plus you don't need to squish, cut, break, squeeze, or get dirty with any other fruits. So, essentially, it's because we're too lazy... truth is, most nutritious, vitamin and mineral rich, fresh fruits will do just fine as fertilizers.

an old and ghetto fertilizing myth. Using fruit changes the ph balance, due to the acidity, causing more stress than benefit. Although you get a little taste from the smoke, it's not worth it. I haven't personally used molasses, but I know of people using it during the second half of flowering, with good results.

wouldnt you just adjust the ph balance of the water nute mix before u feed the plant then?
