thank you mate for ur reply.
but i have a question more.
can i keep new baby clones under the 600 watt hps?or should i use cfl for new baby clones ?
i would use 600 watt hps for my clones from rooting to harvest.is it wrong ?should i use cfl or t5/T8 for new clones?is hps harmful for new clones ?
soryy my questions may be stupid but i am newbie.thanks.
You can use your 600 for rooting clones mate, just as long as you maintain a good distance from the light, even keep the prop partially shaded just until roots are visible, iv started seedlings off under my 600 and grown them from start to finish no probs, although cfl's or flourescent tubes are preferable for getting clones rooted.
I hope lond don't mind if i jump in since he's not on right now. I'm sure he'll know better than me, for i am still a newbie as well, but for now, i always heard that it was better to use the flouro's due to the fact that the plants need low light levels anyway during rooting as clones. Thus meaning using flouro's is good for the plants, and also the flouro will be nicer to your electric bill so you can use the real power to pump out big flowers!!
Exactly, there isnt much point using a 600w for rooting clones since their light requirement is so low, but theres nothing to say you cant.
ok ,i understand.
and;
is envirolites and CFL same thing ?there is no envirolites in my country.there is cfl here.i dont know if they are same.
i will buy 6500k CFL for vegging mom and i will keep her 18/6 hours light all the time.is it ok ?
which spectrum do you use for mom ?
and how height is your vegging mom ?
thanks my friends.
Yes mate, envirolites are just large high output cfl's but they use the standard E40 grow light screw in fitting (the same screw in fitting as your 600w lamp)
http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/details.asp?productid=873&subcat=125&cat=95, and yep all veggin is done on an 18/6 or 24/0 light schedule, 18/6 being my preference.
Wow ive never seen a sog like that b4 it looks radical dude ...
If you climbed up those a big jaint would appear with the words " fe fi fo fum i smell the blood of a english man " haha my bat
Do you think those tall thin stems could support big cholas or wll it be like my tent in 1st and only camping holiday in the the end
I think your growing skillz are cool & i think your the best grower on here ..could i test some of your oil please buddy
Lmao
Thanks man lol well it is my first SOG attempt, the next one will be done with no veg time, just a couple of days in the 6ltr pots after rooting to settle in then 12/12, i vegged em for too long this time around, and the strain isnt the greatest for a SOG, but its all i had to play around with at the time, my own fault really i knew they stretch like buggery so they should have been flowered from rooting.
Im not too concerned about the stems holding the weight of big colas, as i dont think the colas will get that big given the short amount of veg they had, but theres canes 3/4 of the way up the stems so if the buds start to pull em over il tie em up to the canes to keep em in place, id already thought of that, thats why i put the canes in lol.
Oil? well there wont be any till after next harvest which will be end of feb/early march sometime, so il see what i can do then, no promises tho, that shit is like gold dust mate lol
