Odd burning on old growth leaves

Hows it going rollitup,

I am growing two plants right now and I have a question about one of them. I am getting what looks like some sort of burning on some of my old growth leaves. It started with just a single leaf having the tip turn bright yellow, and then dry up. I took off what I could without trimming the entire leaf because it was still young and I didn't want to shock the plant. But now, a few weeks later, I am starting to get the same thing in random spots on my older growth leaves. I have included some pics of the grow area, the leaves that show it the most, and the plant overall. Any feedback you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Sadly for soil I have had to use Miracle grow. I thought it was nute burn too, or maybe Nitrogen deficiency showing itself. But the odd thing is that the only burning I am getting is on my older leaves. My lights are 2 26W CFLS from Walmart, but I am going to the hydroponics shop in town today to try and get a better lighting situation. I have heard about CFLs made specificly for growing plants, like red and blue spectrum lights, but I don't know realisticly how much I am looking at. Moisture is fine. Temp is about 74 constant and the plant is watered every two days, unless the soil is still damp, and then I wait until the third day.For PH, I have no idea. This is my first serious grow in a while and as such I don't really have all of my equipment right now due to money constraints. Please help me out, I am at a loss for what to do.

thats nute burn, but it is ever so slight and because the plant is young it shows more, if your plant was older you prolly wouldn't have gotten nute burn, just continue to let it grow, or to be safe leech the soil mildly, that means water the plant with the same amount of soil you have. 1 gallon of soil, water it with 1 gallon of water and let it dry for 4-5 days. then return to regular watering. keep and eye on it there after to see if the plant wants liquid nutes or if there are enough nutes still in the soil

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. When I flush the soil, should I let all of the water run off? Like should I move the plant somewhere else, like maybe a bathtub or something like it, flush it with PH balanced water and then once the excess water has come out I just move it back to its grow area, correct? I really appreciate this guys. What are essential nutes for me to have on hand just in case it needs them. I am going to the hydro shop today and I only have $120 to work with and I still need to get some better lighting. Any feedback would be great. Now I see why so many people recommend rollitup.

yes let all the water run off as much as possible, don't try to compact the soil to get a sponge effect to release water, thats not good. yes the bathroom would be fine just have the light on, and possible with a daylight bulb installed in the bathroom. As far as nutes go, i'd recommend going with Canna nutes, they are two part and organic, if you don't want the expensive route, go with dyna-grow

are you in flowering or veG? get the correct nutes for your current stage of growth

dont grow with those lights use these and your electricity wont go up and you will get big fat buds but make sure you get both red and blue spectrums.

42 watt average $10.00 each

65 watts, = $23.99 average price

85 Watt, average $29.00 each

105 watt average $38.99 each

Or Look for Clamp Reflectors and Bulbs together:

use these lights give off almost no heat and your electric bill wont go up also while your at the hydro store buy better soil. miracle grow is not what you want i promise good luck on the grow bro:)

Alright guys, I am back after a long day out buying needed things for my baby. I got some new soil. I was recommended super soil by a lady who works at Lowes, and she told me, "It will be good for ANYTHING you are growing". I told her I was growing tomatoes but she knew what I was growing and made a comment about how her mother used to grow "Tomatoes" too, so I trusted her word on it. I also bought a 4 pack of daylight CFLs with a 6500K rating, and a PH and nute test kit. Got three 45W CFL's with the 2700K rating for 75 CENTS A PIECE. Thank you for the discount Edison. Two spray bottles and a one gallon water container.

Then I went to the Hydro store and made the purchases that I am the most excited about. I got Dyna-gro liquid grow plant food for the veg cycle and Dyna-gro liquid bloom for the flowering cycle. Here is where my questions start, and I am sorry I have so many I just want to get this right. The grow stuff is 7-9-5 and the bloom is 3-12-6. Is that alright? I know that people use all kinds of crazy shit but it was all I could afford and still get everything else. Like I said, I only had $120 so I could only do so much. I also got a PH kit with PH down and up in it, as well as a testing liquid. Will those nutes be alright? I am broke now so I really hope I got the right stuff. Any advice or answers are appreciated greatly.

15000 lumens...
150watt HPS

http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProduc...mber=E-MT6H151G

for some reason the first time you click the link it dosent take you there. So do it twice and the second time it takes you where you need to look. After shipping and all this light is only $32 :P
CFL's are effective for little gardens, HID lighting is best for any garden however
I have no ballast for the light and I only had $120 to spend. I know HID is good for any garden, they are call High Intensity Discharge for a reason. I don't have that kind of money and my garden isn't that large to even need one. I would love to get one if I scale up some, but at this point I doubt I will. I am growing to get closer to something that has helped me and that I love and to try and give back. Thanks though.

the light comes with a ballast. i took mine apart and made the ballast remote, even used the base plate for the bulb mounted on a diy reflecter. Then used the rest of the ficture to enclose my ballest drilling a crapload of holes in the shell and spacing it off the wall for ventelation. total cost 32 beans

that light can grow 2-3 plants fine, and its only 32 bux after its shipped to you....
150 watts burns less electricity than the computer that you are using to be on here with bro.

Believe me its cheaper than trying to set up cfls for 3 plants properly ....

you bought chem nutes??? be careful, go half strength first. Its funny how you say that about the tomatoes, i think is half paranoia....stop smoking guuuurl. Na but really, i hope that soil works out, FOXFARM OCEAN FOREST would have been a sure bet. Just make sure you go based on the back of the package and you should be good, read up on what nutrients are already in the soil. Some mixes have very little, some have a full range. potting soil is what you want to use indoors. Are you going to start a grow journal:?:
