600W Aurora Indica Scrog

Westmich, its hard to tell exactly how much they will stretch too. Usually you do keep them a bit shorted then this, but I think Unity said himself he wishes he had trained them a couple more times. The idea is to have an even canopy for the light to spread over.
So, are they ready for new years
I wish I could do some as well, all I was able to secure was some E.

The shrooms? Did you check the thread? I harvested about 348g wet total weight! So hopefully that will dry to about 30-34g. There aren't alot of really big ones, but weight is weight. I posted tons of pics over the last two days. I have 60g saved in the fridge fresh for Newyears. 25g for my gf, and 35 for me

Lol I'm excited. it really went pretty fast too, I started this shroom thing on dec. 2. This strain is from thailand, its called Koh Samoi (KS). I have a strain in another tray from Burma, but they are growing a bit slower. Then in my fridge I have a russian strain just waiting to get put into a tray. Then in my incubator I have a 4th strain, from South America(SA), they are still colonizing. Any way, check out the update on my thread, sorry to highjack yours!

Oh, on the subject of "E", I tryed it for the first time(and only) last New Years, but unfortunatly my girlfriend and I both got bunk pills, we didn't feel anything. I was pissed, I spent $80 so we could both get 2 pills each.

I'm honestly not sure what we are actually doing for newyears other then eating a bunch of mushrooms, lol. A friend wants us to come to a party, and trip there, I don't really know it thats the way I want to go abouts this. I'm expecting an intense trip so I don' t know if I feel like being at a party. So if we stay home, I'll prolly post on my thread a couple times to trip report, or maybe before and after or somthing. So I was planning on eating the equivilant of an 1/8 , but I've been thinking about eating these other fresh caps I have, maybe another 1.5-2g. My thought was eat the 1/8 then eat then others once the trip sets in and I see how it hits me. What do ya think?

No worries mate, I was on an iphone when I replied, and I just don't have the speed typing thing down,lol.
The idea is to equalize height with a scrog, therefore maximizing quality of each bud. The trade off is, that you will not get 1 or 2 monster colas, but instead a shitload of medium sized colas. You veg time will increase by about 2 weeks depending on how many plants you are scrogging. I have 4 plants in there, you could do it with one as well, would just take longer to veg.

Yeah, I hear you, I'm not a big party guy when it comes to trippy things, he,he. E, when it is not bunk is still the best in my book when it comes to partying.

I would do it the way you feel best about it, maybe start out on the conservative side and work my way up,lol.

Checked EC in the medium, all is good at 1.5. Need to reduce my nute load further though, since the EC in the medium is climbing to about 2.0 over night, which tells me that they are drinking far more then they are eating at the moment. They want more water and less nutes, is that correct?!

Man, I'm certainly seeing a slow down in growth now, not in resin production, but in bud growth
I expected it though, I bow to the learning curve,

My EC in the medium is down to 1.4, and my res ec is at 1.25. I ran out of Big Bud and decided to start Overdrive, it's a week early, but I did not feel like buying another Big Bud for this grow.
I'm going to keep everything as consistent as possible though out the rest of this grow, hopefully I get some decent buddage from it
Here are the fuck ups of this grow to date:
- should have trained them 2 more times under the screen and they would not be as leggy as they are now!
- should have trained them 2 more times under the screen and they would not be as light bleached as they are!
- should have been more diligent in checking the EC in the medium, and I would not bee looking at a canopy that looks like it went though WW3!
I think this grow is a good first stab at scrog for me! Hopefully by documenting this others that read this will not repeat these very fundamental mistakes and get better results right from the get go.

that is a GREAT first try at SCROG... its beautiful!
and dont worry about the ww3 leaves... most of those will be removed while manicuring - the bud will still be 4x better than the best shit I can find on the street where i live...

Yeah, I fell in love with scrog, I will try it again with Purple Kush, they are being cloned in about 2 weeks. I already got the mother plant

That's the best, when we actually learn something from the things we do!
The girls, well I'm sad about my girls. I think my last post sums it up rather well. On the bright side I feel like I learned more from this grow then from the previous 3 combined. I finally have a handle on how to maintain EC in a rockwool 'run to waste' system. I went of the magic sauces, with confidence for the first time, I learned that anything above 1.4 EC is a waste of money at best and a fucking disaster at worst
Just because the plant has a wide EC range in which it will grow 'just fine' doesn't mean that we have to bring them right to the edge, for no other reason then the hydro store owner to be booming in this economy,lol.The girls are doing fine though, I will get some fine smoke from it, just not very much short of a miracle in the last 3 weeks. My EC is down to 1.3 in the medium, they are getting more resinous by the day....
The E was good, nothing like in the late 80's or early 90's
I can't wait to go out to Joshua Tree though, to do some E or shrooms out there. It is truly a very spiritual place for some of us.

Hey man, don't be so down about your girls. The important thing is that you are learning from each of these things. Which you seem to be. A couple things I might suggest if your interested. You seem to be having trouble with this system. I dont know alot about hydro, but maybe the run to waste isn't the right route to be using? I've seen several really impresive hydro grows, I think the most being Stinkbuds grow. I don't know if you've seen the thread " harvest a lb. every three weeks". Any way, he runs an awesome system that seems very high yeild, and very low maitenance. I don't know about you but I like to keep things as simple as possible.
