*Journal from seedling to mother plant, clones to perpetual SOG.

wasup fellow homies, i'm startin my second grow but my first journal which i will keep updated with pics every 2-3 days.

I've sprouted 7 seeds from some bagseed I've saved over the last little while.

Containers - 5 20oz soda bottles which have been cut down to 16oz i believe. aswell, 2 2 liter soda bottles cut down to about 4 inches height.

Grow medium - is a soilless mixture of sphagnum peat moss, perlite, humus and organic compost.

I purchased my my mixture from homedepot just a couple of weeks ago.. so it was FROZZZZEN cold, sitting outside in the gardening section. Took a couple of days to thaw out (sped up the process by using a blow dryer for many hours ).
the cool thing is the soil was still a bit moist when i decided to plant in it, but not cold, so i haven't had to water them yet lol

there 3-4 days old (or should i say young) now..

not the best resolution, i know. I just bought a cheap camera to use untill i invest in a better one. sorry

also, as if i didn't mention lights yet. (yeh im real tired lol.)
I've got 1 42w CFL in there, with an 11w CFL.
42watter=2700k. 11watter = 6500k.

I will have to get measurements tomorrow, cant remember off the top of my head .
but height wise the babies can get up to 9-10inches before i have to move them to their vegetative box. the CFLs i have now should do fine in sustaining the plants during their seedling stage. i'll more than likely throw in another 42watter in the next couple weeks.

The Vegetative box is a large box 2+ ft wide, 2+ ft deep and is 3ft tall. The box is seperated down the middle, with a flowering chamber on they other side.
The 7 plants will be cloned, and clones will be flowered to determine sex. females will be kept and used as the mothers, whom will never reach the flowering cycle.

I`m also using 2700K CFL`s for veg. Gonna watch and compare. It`s interesting, because haven`t seen anybody else with 2700K CFL for veg.

SOOO ive been busy with volunteering and whatnot. but i updated the grow! its looking good.

It is now in a long shelf, with the middle shelf unit taken out. I got a nice light fixture i picked up from walmart. It has 3 outles on it, but it is so flexible! i can tilt the lights vertically n horizontally. its perfect i can adjust it however to fit the plants needs

I still got a shitty camera... but heres some PICS!

BTW. i must add that i now have 3 32 watters in there now. and will add 1 more 32 watter and a 42 watter in there tomorrow when i have some time to do that. I will continue to add lights as they grow.
Also the box there in now will eventually be the flowering chamber for the SOG.

There still nice n healthy lookin though. nice n green. growin quick. the leaf tipps r pointin down though! that is how much they r curled..

I just got a free case of 10 40watt T5's!

they require a 2G11 ballast... /:S
the end of it has 4 pins, anyone know how to wire these up or where i can even get a base like that?

update.

Almost all plants have reached the 2ft. mark including the 2 litre bottle they are in. The tallest one has reached that point, all they others are just about there!

Well i could its jus the camera i have been using for all of the previous photos really is crap. it jus dosnt do em justice! ya know?

I killed 3 plants out of 6 today. they were males

I have one confirmed female and i have moved it to a separate grow box from they other 2. It also is the biggest and heathiest looking plant i have. It has white hairs, tons. they are fer sure female pre-flowers without a dought.

the 3 i killed today had ball sacks. the 2 unconfirmed ones are lookin like males but i will keep them for a lil while longer just to be sure.

my first female not bad at all.

I am hopefully going to borrow a nicer camera tomorrow so look out for ma post tomorrow!!
