What temps u looking for bro? I keep my res between 72-76 tight now which is the same as my room temperature.Ive had no ill effects bro. Ph=5.2-5.6 tops and all these things have brought me awesome results.
 
Nice question bro.... The reason i germ first is because all seeds are not guaranteed to crack...And thats the only reason.

If U germ and get tap roots bro the rest i think is entirely up to the grower to ensure complete success by control of the environment.
Ive got mine in cages right now. These bishes answer to me bro. Thats control.
 
And another question, I already have some plants in the DWC vegging at low PPM (550, but my tap water out of the filter runs 280). Can I just sprout the seeds in the DWC, or should I do it separate (I have a small container, airstone, and airpump anyways). My ambient in veg room varies, gonna check it tonight by putting thermometer in there).
 
I'll have to remember that! Thanks man! I'm just doing some bagseed now to test all of my equipment and soil for my mothers. I'm going to try to keep 5-10 mothers of a couple different strains in soil under a 6 tube 4 foot T5. I've built two bubble cloners with 20 sites on each of them and have a 4 watt air pump to power them. I'll throw the clones in 5 gallon buckets and veg for about a month, maybe a little longer depending on the strain, and then have two 1000w HPS on light rails. How many buckets do you think could fit in a 9x18 room one day??
 
I've run some calculations:
9x18 is 162, and each 5 gallon bucket takes up about a square foot.... umm the result is A SHITLOAD!!!

The best I can say on this is it really depends on strain. Ur going to need to Research or do in the field training on the strains. See how the plants react to feeding. My pinks would grow out of my veg space in less than a week if i didnt cut the nutes to 600 ppm. But to maximize growth from seed i was @ 900 ppm. It really depends.
Id search around for people growing ur type of strains and reflect different ppms to figure how to reach maximum results with the strain.
Plants dont need alot of nutes to veg. Regardless, My plants rarely reach more than 900 ppms in veg. This brings me good results. Always. Its better to be safe than sorry. And Ive also vegged plants right in tap war with 1/4 strength feeding cuz thats all they needed to be sufficient to keep my grow occupied.
 
Nice answer orlando very nice.. Id go with tubs personally. I think that the amount of plants u grow,how big u gro in veg and how u gro them is the key.
To maximize space and light emmitance id go with 4 plants/sq.ft and 100 watts/sq.ft. to cover the tubs as suggested by the pros. This will achieve maximum yield in the smallest amount of space possible.

Id like to explore this idea a lil further...

If I grow only TOPS from a certain strain. And the max size of the tops reach 7 inches in width, but reach lengths of 10- 13 inches in length when done. How many tops could i possibly grow in a basic sq.ft. If i was growing tops in this system.
 
just Downloaded the See more Buds vids off easynews going to watch them today and see how they are. i heard good things about them but we will see
 
so i am going to move into an apartment and came to the conclusion that I will build my own DWC setup. Iwas wondering does anybody Know how to build a DWC system? If so please post back. any one with instructions will help. Thanks.

hey guys....been out of the house for a while during the holidays and when i finaly got home to check on my babies i found them burnt to hell. i already come to grips that i fucked up and not really gon get much of a yield to began with but should i try to let them recover or just give her the chop. even the hairs are turning brown which is making it confusing.

i started to start a new thread for this, but id rather get the advice from the ppl i learned from. thanks

Morning all, I saw talk of germinating seeds. Well, here is a way I have used for many, many years and it works every time. Get a shot glass, do a couple of shots to get in the sprit of things, then wash it out. Fill with warm water and pour your seeds in. Place it in a warm, dark place for 24 hours. Tap all the seeds with your finger if they are floating. If they sink they will germinate in any damp grow media, NOT wet, damp in just two days. I put a light just one inch from the media so the plants don't get tall. I now use a CFL for this.

I'm looking for those nice circular air stones and can only find them outside the US. What type of stones is everyone using and how much air pressure on your stones?
